What type of wedding did you have?
I am thinking  of  having a vanilla wedding and a hot kinky wedding.

Your thoughts on the subject.

My screen saver reads, "Why do I have to get married, I didn't do anything wrong" so I don't have any advice on the wedding, but I do wish you and yours earnest congratulations!

Cheers,

Tee

My personal preference at this point in life would be to, not have one. Been there, done that, twice.

My Master and I are going to have a traditional ceremony back in the country I was born and raised partly in out of wishes and respect for my parents.

We are not going to do anything separate or special to celebrate or signify or separate the power exchange aspect of our relationship.

Congratulations!

I think your idea is great. It shows that you are creating a union that embraces both the vanilla and kinky sides. Besides, bringing kinky stuff into the vanilla wedding might frighten someone's elderly maiden aunt.

i was only eighteen when we were married. It was at my parents home in their garden overlooking the bay. Very small and elegant with just friends and family.

i wasn't collered until i was trained to his complete satisfaction which was about two years after.

The collaring ceremony was small and elegant also. We had it on the beach in a gazebo just as the sun was going down. Both were beautiful and heartfelt.

valentines day will be thirty years for us, and i love him more today and desire him more today then i ever have.

i wish you the best for your wedding and i send all of my good wishes.

actually you pay more taxes being single than being married.  wolf tried seeing if he could file single this year...it was nearly a thousand dollar difference in the tax return.  on one income.

so i suppose its where you live that makes a difference.

KatyLied -> RE: Getting married (2/7/2008 9:44:53 AM)

I was married many years ago, it was a big ceremony.  I'm not really up on the entire marriage thing since half of them end with the need to get them undone.  I can't think of a compelling reason to marry.

GabrielleSlave -> RE: Getting married (2/7/2008 9:45:16 AM)

A collaring would mean more to me than a wedding at the mo, but then i have just got divorced lol! Having said that however, if He told me Wwe were getting married i would accept immediately and hope that somewhere in the ceremony Wwe could put something meaningful to Oour kind of relationship that was not too overt!!

Congratulations, i really hope Yyou have a fab time!!

The first time was a traditional wedding with all the usual pomp and stress.

The second time, we exchanged vows privately at night, naked, lounging in a hot spring while the snow floated down.  We should have done it that way the first time.

kittinSol -> RE: Getting married (2/7/2008 10:05:15 AM)

Do it. If you're planning to get married, it means you believe in it; and if you're thinking of having two ceremonies, all the more for you.

It's not because one third of marriages end in divorce that yours will. Have a good one.

sub4hire -> RE: Getting married (2/7/2008 10:18:12 AM)

We got married in a very small ceremony with close family and friends who are closer than family.
Nothing huge..no need to do that sort of thing.

sweetwenchie -> RE: Getting married (2/7/2008 10:21:58 AM)

ahhhhhhhhhhh  the "m" word... hard limit!   Do not even wish to go there mentally much less physically!  [8|]

i did not even get to the point of  reading the actual question, i saw the scary word and simply could not get any further.

I don't care what kind of wedding you have so long as there's an open bar and I'm invited.

PanthersMom -> RE: Getting married (2/7/2008 2:15:16 PM)

whatever you do, make sure it's what you want, don't give in to please others.  if two ceremonies feel right, then by all means, invite the kink family to the kink one, the straightlacers to the other and enjoy the celebration!  congrats and much happiness!

Lashra -> RE: Getting married (2/7/2008 2:19:47 PM)

I don't really want to get married again, at least not yet. But my sub wants to eventually. We have discussed a Las Vegas wedding on Halloween with a Elvis impersonator. I may let him wear the wedding gown and Ill wear the tux. Seriously...I think it would be fun.
