wondering what people do for exercise.  i got me a boring routine and i want to change it.  no i cant do the gym.  i need to know some more types of stretching and exercises you  can do at home on a mat.  without prop's just you and the mat.

maybe there are some links to pic's of certain positions that i can look at.  no i dont want to do yoga or any special thing like that.  i just like spending my 20 mins a night.  just want more variety of things to do.  i am currently doing crunches and stretches and pushup's.  i lost 70+ lbs doing that over the course of a few years.  196-125  now 4 yrs later at 135.

also when you exercise...are the calories/fat being taken off while you exercise...or do they get taken off when your resting/sleeping.  i do my routine 30-60 minutes before i go to bed at night.  im told its the best thing to do.

speaking of balls... yoga balls can make exercise more fun, when you get bored of using it for crunches you can just sit on it and bounce.

i took up boxing a few months ago and loved it so much that i bought the stand up bag for home. It doesn't take up too much space/can be placed in a coner...or i should say PUSHED into a corner 'cuz once you fill it w/sand or water there's no picking that thing up!

boxing is cardio.  i cant do that.  i am also unable to create muscle so that means many exercises i cant do.  thus why no special things would work for me.  my fat (id say 10 lbs max over ideal weight) is in my stomache.  no fat elsewhere.  im a sz 4 right now.  was sz 14-16 in 1999.  i want a flat or close to flat stomache by the summer.  i think my age is the issue since the body changes at 35+.  i want to try to get back to 125 what im doing isnt enough to lose any weight..but not gaining any either.

Don't need ben wa balls to do kegels.  To do a kegel all you have to do is pee and stop mid stream.  Pee and stop.  That exercises your kegels.

I go to the gym...the precor is my absolute favorite machine.
However for home.  We have an exercise ball.  According to a trainer I once had...even sitting and balancing on the ball did you good.  I don't really know if it does or not but I like bouncing on it.
You can also stretch with it..sit ups..etc.
I go up and down the stairs sideways...read somewhere it is supposed to build your thigh muscles.  Inside and outside.

More muscles you have more calroies you burn, but if you just want to loose weight your best bet is running or biking constant activity for more then 20 minutes.
Try putting something heavy in both of your arms stech them out so they for 90 degree angle to your body and do lots of sit up's while holding your arms out. Once your arms get tired hold them at the same angle in front of you keep doing the sit ups.

On top of an exercise routine suited to my size and body type, I also do Yoga.

I used to just do it following a book, but lately, I've gotten a lot out of taking a class and practicing with others.  Not only is it a great way to keep flexible, it's also extremely soothing.

And more than a little erotic.

I swim three or four times a week, but I smoke and drink (moderation), too.....

What about exercising your mind? Play some chess or read some books - who ordained the flat stomached human being?

ummmmm no you do not need ben wah balls to do kegels, but with good muscle control moving the ben wah balls around inside you is fun.  Do not have to be peeing to do said exercises, can do them anywhere... at work, while driving... though yes, it is the same muscle group.

I bought the BodyBugg at 24 hour fitness.  You wear it and it tells you how many calories you burn. Then you enter your food on the website, and you see a deficit which shows you are losing, or a surplus, which means you are gaining.

I do 30-45 minutes of cardio every other day and 60 minutes of weights on the other days and rest one day.

Cardio only burns calories while you are working out while weight training has you burning calories for some time after the workout.

The main thing is not exercise, as probably half or more at the gym are obese.  The key is DIET + exercise.

You can live with a healthy body that feeeeels good, or with a fat body that enjoys all the things that poisons it.

Hey, what do I know...I spent most of my life as a fat person....Never again.

Hey, what do I know...I spent most of my life as a fat person....Never again.

i have a pretty good diet..i get enough of everything you need...fruits, veggies, fibre, vitamins...lots and lots of water.... but i also have my share of junk food to balance things out.  i dont eat fast food anymore other than subway.  but i do like pizza..usually eat 2 pizzas in a month(right now its the texas chicken mccain or the ultimate deli spinach one both thin crust.

i have to have a diet for energy reasons, im already ultra low on energy with my heart condition so better eating helps me alot.  i dont eat alot of meat
products either...though just had steak the other day which i have about once every 6 weeks.  when the weather gets warmer i can do my walks again so thats 40 minutes of exercise alone (2 miles).

i probably take about 1000 caleries a day.  which is good for my body/build according to my dr.
