I enjoy, and only watch, the first few 'cattle call' episodes that show people trying to get their 'Golden Ticket' to LA. It's the same as watching a good scene at club, with mocking and self humiliation replacing the whips and clips. The show is proof that there are many masochists in the vanilla word. Come on - you telling me that watching that hairy chested guy getting himself waxed didn't amuse some of the Dommes out there?

I also image the sadists out there. No not Simon - he's playing a role to build audience. I'm talking about the 'friends' of the people who encourage some of these people. "Oh yeah - you sing GREAT! You should go try out for American Idol" (giggle giggle giggle) It's some of the best D/s play you can see on TV - complete with tears and mocking laughter.

Once the 'cattle call' part is over - they lose us. I don't like to view a process of corporate manipulation and the construction of a 'star'. Based on the ratings the novelty is wearing thin.

The auditions are a guilty pleasure - of COURSE they only put the really bad ones on - it is amusing TV. Beyond that, no, I can't be bothered watching it.

Never watched it. It's not my kind of music, in the first place, and I have too much respect for GOOD musicians to support the exploitation of poor schmucks who THINK they can sing.

Actually, I admit to watching People's Court and Judge Judy. I've learned a lot about contract law, and I've learned the fact that there are a lot of people who still believe the Nigerians.

Other than that, I watch the news, Jeopardy, and Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

As a lover of fine dinning, I admire his professional standards (absolutely no tolerance for a dirty kitchen, or an ill prepared dish, etc...) If the mashed potatoes served her are obviously made from a powder she'll make a low voiced comment like, "oh dear, powdered mash potatoes, how feeble." She won’t say anything else but that restaurant goes on her shit list and is not visited again.

I'll have to make an effort to watch Terminator, I need to string cable to the back room here. I got one kid watching Cartoon Network on one TV, the other playing Wii on the other one - I don't watch much TV, but I do get a lot more done that way.

Yes EXACTLY why i watch it... and there's fools on there that "dress up" like omg...that one guy who had a robe and a costume under his robe and opens his robe and EWWW OMG ewww... that was scary shit... and they got him to wax all his chest hair and come back... I do think the winner was already on last night...that one who was an impressionist and they said she was the best they heard...and she was hot as hell looking.

I've never seen it, and have no desire to ever see it..... I don't even have TV (service, I have a physical TV for gaming/anime/fnordnot), the only thing I really watch (and care about watching) is fansubbed anime and anime DVDs... So fnord.

Marc, there is no reason for *ANY* restaurant to be serving powdered mashed potatos!
