But I can log in here.  I keep putting in my user name and pw but the site doesn't accept them.  I know my password, since I could log in here...anyone have any ideas?

I had to reformat my computer so I'm going back around and logging in to all of my accounts everywhere...

Yes, I did.  That was before I reformatted my computer.  Now, postformat, I can't log in.

Has perhaps to do with your default Internet Settings as for cookies and various permissions.

If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser, that comes under the "Tools" Option.

If you are using some other Firewall, that also may interfere.

I’ve been having some occasional weird problems myself. There are times when I cannot log out. If I go to the message boards then back to CM there are times I cannot log out. It says I am but I’m not.

The only way to log out is to close my window then reopen it to CM… I am still logged it.. To log out I must immediately log out. If I go to the message boards then I am in the same boat and cannot log out without shutting down and reopening.

Damn that was hard to explain

Butch

Ok.  Turning the firewall off worked.  Thanks much all.  Now hopefully it will allow me to stay logged in now that I am logged in.

I hope that you have another firewall active. Otherwise you are in deep shit.

And yet, strangely I understood that.

I just deactivated it long enough to log in.  Then I reactivated it.

Well, what a pain.  It looks like I can only be logged in to CM when the firewall is deactivated.

When this happens if you will clear your cookies on the personals side you should have no problem after you do.

moonvine,

You are not alone in having problems. I can log on
in Collarme, but not here. So I now have two accounts
Outlier and Outlier2 for the boards. I have recieved
emails from others this has happened to. I tried emailing
tech support at least six(6) times and never got an answer.

Sometimes you just have to come up with a work around.

His problems with the site were logging into Collarme, not Collarchat, and clearing the cookies will fix his problem.

OK, I have figured it out...for this firewall cookie security needs to be set to medium in order to log in to CollarMe.

If it keeps session cookies, keep in mind what I said to kdsub.  There should not be a problem, but if there is, clear em and you won't have any problems.  Most do not have that problem though, so you probably will not either.  If you are like me though, when I reformatted my computer last time, I welcomed any comments, I was going bonkers before I had everything set back just the way I had it previously.

Thanks kc692.

I am always too lazy to back up my computer and always regret it.  Fortunately all the really important stuff I keep in Gmail or Google documents so I'm not tearing my hair out as much as I could be.
