This is actually part of military training, and the goal here is to test and develop ability to follow instructions and attention to detail - ideally, he ought to be training you himself, it isn't anything you're going to find much info on in the civilian world. Try finding an Air Force training manual, surplus stores maybe, and an Airman to tutor you and check your work, it's very much a precision operation, lol. One of the fringe benfits of military training however, when I used to go to the laundromat, I would leave the ladies standing there with their mouth open while I left them in the dust, folding twice the laundry in half the time. I cheat though, I don't fold anything that you might worry about getting wrinkled: socks, pajamas, etc. - I just buy all my socks identical and throw them into a drawer, never have to worry about mismatched pairs, etc. Further, if you roll your socks, it just stretches out the elastic and they fall down around your ankles, that sucks.
