As a Giants fan I hope that the hype doesn't affect the coach. If he is smart Jared Lorenzen will start at quarterback and Plaxico won't play a single down (he's been nursing a sore leg all season). The Giants cannot afford any injuries in a meaningless (to them) game; they are already down a large chunk of their offense (TE Shockey with a broken leg).

The irony is uncanny to me that the Giants stopped the Denver Broncos perfect season in 1998. Amani Toomer made a comment that the 72 Dolphins promised him Champagne that year that they never came through with. He says if they win , he is looking for them to make good on their promise. Unfortunately, I believe it is going to take a lot more than a Toomer for him to get his Champagne . being a die hard Chiefs fan my season ended long ago. being a fan of the game it is great to be able to witness potential history in the making. I can only be jealous of the Patriots success and hope that their head of janitorial decides to take Herm Edwards job , because God knows my mom could have done a better job than him this year !
