A basic question for the pro death penalty types, how many innocents being executed is acceptable to you?

I'll reverse that. How many innocents being behind cold bars, taking it up the arse, dealing with bull shit, and becoming mentaly warped is acceptable to you?

When an innocent if found guilty, is Prison really better than Death? I'd rather take the chair than the cell life. If I'm ever forced to take the cell life, then I'm going to attempt to take out the biggest mother fucker there. If I loss, then I'm dead. If I win, them I'm feared. It's a win win situation.

Every submissive I have ever had wanted to be flogged in public.

Im not sure how this would reduce crime.

Well, there are always exceptions. In the case of submissive burglars (of which I don’t think there would be many) we could always march them down to the public square, strip them, string them up, and not flog them. We could recite bad poetry to them instead.

Maybe not public floggings, but being in town square in stocks with a sign that says THIEF on it might do some good. Put out a basket of rotten fruit, and let the games commence. I know prison sentences certainly don't do a damn lick of good.

Sounds good to me! It is not so much the pain (and I wouldn't advocate whipping hard enough to leave scars) but the public humiliation that is the real punishment.

McVeigh actually had the cajones to tell his attorney to not file the 7 standard appeals for one on death row and to instructed the court to put him to death as soon as possible.

The problem I have with the whole thing is best exemplified by the O J Simpson fiasco. The police had him dead to rights for the murders, and still insisted on planting evidence to shore up their case.

Would the police intentionally plant evidence resulting in the conviction of an innocent person?

The fact that some police plant evidence (even if they sincerely believe in the accused’s guilt) is just one more reason not to have a death penalty. As for Tim McVeigh, I’ve met the man personally (before he became infamous). I had him as a passenger in my cab a couple of times. Even then I could see he was a nutcase. Still, I was more than shocked when I opened the paper one day and went, "holy shit! I know that guy!" Perhaps it was cajones but bravery and insanity are sometimes hard to tell apart.
