And in any AUDIT, if you cannot PROVE your numbers are correct and untampered-with, then you fail the audit.

With tabulating votes, if you cannot PROVE your numbers are correct and untampered-with, then the vote was rigged. It would be foolish to assume otherwise WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO AUDIT AND VERIFY THE RESULTS.

Tabulating Votes isn't like being tried in court. The Board of Elections and Machines are UNTRUSTWORTHY unless PROVEN OTHERWISE.

Like I've said before, your vote is worthless. That's why no-one gives a sit about counting them correctly.

If you value your vote, take election day off and stay at the polling place the rest of the day and WATCH THEM LIKE THIEVES.

State laws probably vary, but do whatever is possible to *ensure* that *your* vote gets properly counted. Stick around for the counting. Make sure it's done right. Lynch any S.O.B. who tries to tamper with the election.

Yes, I understand that it would require a commitment which most people would consider onerous, but given the VALUE of the Election, isn't it only prudent?

Fargle, the problem is that the people on the Democratic side don't want anything "exposed" either.
If we were to negate all the votes of illegal aliens who vote for Democrats they'd be screwed.

Gardenista, I would like to hear how Trafficant rigged votes. This before electronic machines and being well out of favor of the powers that be.

They had to investigate him for decades to get one measley conviction.

I have moved since the last election. My previous area- I am sure they were up and up. Any funny stuff would have happened higer up; at Harrisburg. The election officials I knew in real life. These people have ties to the community and in fact I knew some from the Red Cross. This is but one poll station.

The electronic voting machines? You mean the ones that are all manufactured, programmed, and operated by Republican businesses? THOSE voting machines?

Even if it were proven that the GOP was stealing every single election (as they did the last two) the American public would be far too busy watching "American Idol" to care.

The DRE machines ( indeed, all the "new-fangled" voting machines ) are just the most current, and most egregious examples of a system which has been broken for a long-long time.

Remember how Nixon won in '72 by a landslide? Yeah, right.

Landslide. It's easy to arrange a landslide when you're spying on everyone and compiling enemy-lists.

If people believed their American Idol votes were rigged, there'd be a revolution.
