i have long hair as well...when i absolutely have to have it out of my way, i wear a scrunchy or hair tie on my wrist to pull it back. Sir on the other loves to see it braided and colored when too much gray shows through.

Would he allow you to dye it? A new colour gives a new look. If not how about some clip in hair extensions in a funky colour? Can be put in and taken out so easily.
Failing that pony tails, half pony tails, plaits, french plaits, buns, curling, twists, hair slides, ribbons, alice bands, claw clips etc etc.
Get a hair style book, loads around and experiment.

My hair is dyed red. I've had every color imaginable, including fire engine red. He doesn't really mind what color it it is, as long as it's long. He doesn't like dreads either. I wouldn't mind a few (think more crust punk than rasta), but he thinks they're nasty.

I am wondering if there's an idea length for hair bondage? Is there a point where it is too long to work with?

Put it in a pony tail so it is easier for your husband so can grab it is easier when he wants to guide you to where he wants you. OR a Pony tail High on your head to use as a leash.

Perhaps Braide some chains in it so he can whip you with your own hair or again use as a leash.

Braide it and put tiny bells on the end of it so he alwyas knows where you are.

Use it for body worship... brush it until it shinny and tangle free and then run it over his body as you are licking you way down his body. ...

Brush it util it is shinny and free .... bath and massage his feet and then use your hair to dry them ( i read this somewhere and would love to do it for my master)

Perahsp ask your husband for a new ritual and ask him to brush it at night before you go to bed. Perhaps pick a specail brush just for these times and Sit at his feet while he brushes it.

Hope this is the kind of thing your looking for.

I would imagine the shorter hair would be harder to work with. I haven't really had any hair bondage done, my hair is waist length but its hair extensions so not really the best thing to work with.
Ive seen some really nice rope work done starting with the hair and working down the body.

I've been enjoying this post too. My Dom is very into long hair and (thanks to prenatals) mine grew 5 inches in 9 months. I'm not permitted to keep it put up when he is around because he wants to be able to grab it or pet me as he wishes so ponytails and updos are not an option for me. I dye it alot (scarlet red, bruise purple, midnight blue) but it gets in the way frequently. It has no body, no style and pretty much just lays around like a limp dick. I personally hate it - my hair has been page boy short since college until two years ago when I met Sir, but then again its always worth it when he wraps his hand up in it and pulls hard. I just never have a clue what to do with it when its NOT in his hand! LOL I've been searching for a good style that will go with my face and not take off any length.

On the other end of the spectrum, I had a submissive with really long hair and I've enjoyed braiding a good strong rope into it and then tying the rope to her ankles for a very beautiful looking hog tie. I saw a photo once of a girl who's hair had been braided from pig tails and then the ends draped over her shoulders and secured to her nipple rings. It was the perfect length and if she would move her head . . . you can imagine! I would think nipple clamps would work with that too!

I LOVE long hair on others!!!! Just not so much on me!

i don't think so. Try this.

Next time you braid it, braid in 2 pieces of rope. (Wrap the center point of the ropes under your hair at the nape, and then braid using your hair as 1 strand, and the -at that point- 4 pieces of rope as the other 2 strands. Braid until you've reached a comfortable end and then whip tie the ropes so they don't come undone, or tie them off in whatever fashion keeps your hair from coming unbraided and the ropes from coming unknotted)

Then you have 4 dangling points of rope. One to each wrist and ankle and you have a really nifty hog tie complete with head pulled back.

And from there its kind of only limited by your imagination...and his rope tying skills.

sorry if this has already been said, but i sometimes choose not to read every post in a thread

of course i love my hair tugged and yanked and pulled, when Ma'am does this i purr and go away for a bit; not subspace, but i enter a whole new stage of "yes Ma'am"

but also, i have had experience with hair suspension; to be hung by my hair a couple of feet off the ground and being twirled and swung and beaten is it's own special joy

and when my hair was long... errr, longer; i had a Top who like to tie my hair to bedposts and the like; she also would tie my wrists behind my neck with my hair... then when i pulled and struggled, well i already spoke of that; didn't i?

note, for hair bondage you can either braid particularly long hair; or you can use sandwich clips secured with rubber bands to keep loose hair from excess damage... also, i don't recommend hair bondage for those without the hair to spare; there's no way around it, if you tie hair in knots you lose some

edited to add, for those with thick straight hair that won't stay out of your face and keeping it up isn't an option, i recommend Philip B's Lovin' Leave-In http://www.philipb.com/lovin-leavein-hair-conditioning-creme-p-1878.html

it's pricy but worth it... it allows you to style your hair while still having body and shine; you can still run your fingers through it and it lasts about 5-6 hours... and it takes the smallest amount... i use it when i go out and i love the stuff

I started braiding my hair after a bath/shower,back in middle school, funny little braids sticking out all over the place. then when I would take them out in the morning, before undoing them I would use hairspray or gel, so that during the day it would keep it's crinkly look. ( I also used alot of blond highlights, and combining the two, often made it look interesting.) OP, have you tried wispy bangs? I had them for a while, they are so cute looking. basically they are cut at an angle so they curve inward.

What about bangs? or a beehive type stye with wisps everywhere, And i dont know if this would work, but when im lazy ill wash my hair the night before and put it in pipe cleaner wire type thingys or rollers and let it dry overnight for a froofy curly do that way you dont have to worry about blowdrying it.

I feel your pain- really my only solution is to get it cut. I use no metal bands to keep my hair back, I use flat clips- but once it gets to a certain length, you either braid it or it's in the way and laying there. Since I have very thick hair as well, I can never use sticks or small clips.

LaMspeach mentioned all my ideas and then some... i love letting my hair hang down and slowly drag all over during foreplay.

Thanks for the tip on "product", DarchChylde... i'll take a look for that. i end up doing the ponytail thing a lot more often than i'd like, just to keep it out of my face.

i adore long hair, i keep my own hair long even though it's a pain in the ass (no matter how carefully i tie it, sooner or later it ends up wrapped around the wheel of the creeper when i'm under a car, and that just plain sucks), and if i were a Dominant, "no hair cutting" would definitely be in the top 5 rules. Long, straight, healthy hair just looks beautiful, either hanging in a long, shimmering drape, or fanned out across a pale naked body... it's the perfect accessory!

oh i love the nipple clamp idea . My Sir used a similar idea on me only he used a rope tied into my hair and then harnessed over me tying a vibe in, my head was tilted back and when ever I tried to move forward ..........well you get the idea

Have you thought about braids rather than dreds? Caribbean style? I got them done when I was backpacking in Belize and everyone who's seen the pics thought it was totally hot. They whip around and are so fun and sexy and different. And after a few weeks when you get your soft flowy hair back you'll be in love with it all over again. Don't know if your man would go for it though, but he might like it more than he might think once it is done, they are really sexy.

Maybe you can wear a french twist. Gather your hair at the crown and twist it to the ends, then fold the twisted hair along the back of your scalp and finally, loosen some hair and pin it over the twist. i don't know if this will work with your hair as long as it is; a lot depends on how thick it is.

Yes i sympathise; it takes me almost an hour to blow dry my hair so consequently i usually let it dry naturally, but it looks smoother when blown dry. i just don't have the energy for this every day, and i know blow drying is harmful.

I have had braids off and on, which just made me remember something that happened to me in highschool...this is a little OT, but it's my thread so bear with me...

My hair was dyed black and cut in a classic a-line bob with blunt cut bangs. I had braids in my hair for several months- totally rad Cleopatra look, and I had beads on the ends of the braids (by the way orthodontic rubber bands work perfect for this) and one night I had glow-in-the-dark beads in my hair. Some friends and I were drinking 40's in a park (yes I was a naughty teen) and all of a sudden, the fuzz showed up and we all scattered and ran. I got caught. Why? The cop said he could see my beads bouncing all the way to the bush I was hiding in!

Anyhow, maybe I'll try putting my hair in a few braids to let it dry wavy and then put it all up in a big sexy messy up-do for Thanksgiving - if I have time or energy after all the cooking!
