Status: offline 		Before i became MR's,  i was in IRC chatting and a (wannabe) Dom sent a link to his pics... at the bottom was a photo of his toybox. Floggers, whips, canes, ropes, etc. And it was like he was presenting them as credentials. "See? I'm a Dom! I've got all the equipment! See my toys?"  It did not impress me because, even as new as i was, i could tell he had no real experience.

So you've decided that if someone is a teacher, or a single parent, or an ADA, or volunteers as a Big Brother, they aren't compatible? You wouldn't spend a few days talking and then ask for a pic when you thought you might want to meet?

Status: offline 		Provided that they have a face-shot on their profile, I see nothing wrong with posting pictures of toys to suppliment the profile.  Some people take pride in their collections, and like to display them as such.

I can understand how some would be a little creeped out by a picture full of insertables, but otherwise, this just seems a little silly.  If a Dominant takes the time to collect and/or craft a great deal of gear, they have the right to post images of it if they choose to do so.

Simple enough for me.

Celeste? I am not sure what your misconception about this entire thread is, but I have been simply addressing the OP's INITIAL QUESTION OF WHETHER OR NOT PEOPLE LIKED TOYS BEING SHOWN OFF IN PROFILES and why.

My answers were clearly stated and had nothing, NOTHING whatsoever to do with HOW I go about determining if and when I want to talk to or meet someone. I never said a word about how I would determine interest in a compatible partner; I stated I did agree with the OP.

How you made the leap from my discussing my distaste (and I see you have not been harping on this with the other few people who have agreed with the OP other than myself) of seeing ONLY toys on a profile to my deciding compatibility is beyond my comprehension.

Oh, and not that it really is any of your business, but to make you feel better since you seem so interested, I agree with scottjk who stated " It's just that I would rather be considered as a man and a Dom, rather than by what I have in my toybag. "  I am not impressed with someone's toys, I am impressed with a person, whether or not they choose to have a photo of themselves or not on their profile. If they are interested in me, they will send me one, PRIVATELY>

That was my ENTIRE point which you seem to not have accepted for some unknown reason.

Are we done now or do you have any further questions?

As it was said here already, maybe there proud of the toys, maybe there wanna show they have the stuff to get the job done. If it offends you that much on a BONDAGE/BDSM/DOM-SUB SITE....Then why don't you just not look or better yet...dont be here .

This site is ment for stuff like this...If your here then you SHOULD be able to handle it. Stop whining about it in my opinion.

Status: offline 		I apologise if I seemed to be stalking you. That wasn't my intent. I became curious because of how you wrote what you did. I then responded to you because you had responded to me.

I am curious about people who require that others have clear face shots on their profiles, while knowing that for many people being outed could be disastrous. I would imagine that limiting your potential partners to those who would not be damaged by outing severely cuts down on the pool of possibles.

I have considered puting a pic of my toys up, but then I already have my ugly mug up on my profile as well. I think that it is a bit weird if the toys were the main pic, and that goes for pros as well as non pros.


I use them as a mind fuck. I take them OFF to use my single tail. *wicked grin*

Status: offline 		Unless someone asks you to look at their toy collection to prove how cool they are, I don't really know that one can assume that that's the reason they have that certain picture up on CM. People put crazy things on the internets all the time...

Also, I'd hate to think what our bills would be if Sir needed to buy a new flogger/cane/violet wand set every time we played with someone new... Sheesh. I think I need to get another job.
