I've always been kinky. My comment in no way was any slam on anyone younger. I'm suprised you took it that way. It's just a whole other level when your hormones kick in double time. It has zero to do with maturity emotionally.

I think you are more open to it. I have found ladies in their 40's curious and willing to discuss it. In my early twenties after being with my first sub bottom, it was a quick shut down when I tried to discuss it with my ladies after. I just quit trying back then, they would get pissed off and angry, that I even asked. Then again, I must of run into the wrong ladies back then, lol.

I spent so much time and energy in my teens, 20s and early 30's worrying
about what people would think, and trying to impress other people.
For me, the biggest thrill about getting older is this:
My give a damn's busted.

I became eccentric in my late 30's, and I love it.

Freedom to not care what others think about you is liberating.

The older you get often you become more authentic to what you believe in,
what you value, and what you enjoy.

So yes along with being "kinkier", being true to myself is the best part of getting older.

I don't know about kink but I had always heard when you reach 30 you reach your sexual peak as a woman. Well 30 came and went and I discovered that was just so much bull.

no it's definately 40..

Great way of putting it. Yes, as you get older, you start to realize that many of those inhibitions aren't so important and you might as well try new things.

i guess i'm an exception... i'm only 30, but i'm one of the "born kinky" sort... For a long time, i wanted to try just about everything. With experience, my interests are getting less broad and more realistic.

But then, (and i realize that a lot of people will laugh and shake their heads condescendingly, but it's quite true) i really didn't have a whole lot kinkier to get!

Most youth are into the initial conquest of scoring. Then, of course, there's greater intimacy and raising a family. As people age, with kids grown, movement stiffens and muscles don't function as they used to, many explore alternatives to vanilla sexuality. So you'll find more people in their 40's to 60's exploring the lifestyle. Usually, by then, they're more economically stable and can invest in those things that help add even further excitement. If you ever attend TES parties and such, you'll realize that the mode is 40+. Sure there are younger lifestylers, but BDSM seems more pervasive at 40+.

Maybe in the sense that the more I experience the more I will find to enjoy. Not because I'm less inhibited, but because I don't know and haven't experienced everything.

I think we all, if kink is in our nature at all, get kinkier, more relaxed with our own sexuality, etc as we grow older, more confident and more experienced. I was fairly inhibitted in my youth, mostly because my urges and desires were so far outside the norm, and I had some fairly extreme reations to my first attempts at kink. As I grew older, met others who were into farious forms of kink, and became more confident, I became more kinky yet.
It was not just a matter of feeling able to exress the level or degree of kink I was into, but I also gradualy developed more intrests, had some of the fetishes I always had re-enforced, and also expanded into new areas of kink.
I would guess form conversations with others nad my own observations, that this is the common path for most of us, as we are exposed to more, we embrase more. Not just because we gain confidence, but also because we grow in all aspects of our lives in the directions that the oportunity exists to grow in. We are kinky, and encourage and feed that part of ourselves, therefore we become more so.
