I belong to MJ, we don't live together; yet, He is my Master and my Partner.  'claiming' or 'ownership' goes beyond the physical, yes, when we are together its very obvious that I am His.

Anyone can lay a 'claim' to anyoen else, its wheather its mutual that really counts, if it's not mutual then it's not really anything more than a blank and meaningless claim. Realtionships ARE a 2-way street, and do require participation by [all] those involved.

Wonder what Knight and Kyra would say to this question[image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m21.gif[/image].  They live many, many miles apart - different countries even - and I've never had any doubt what their dynamic is.  Distance doesn't have to mean jack.  It sure didn't for Master and I............luci

He has already given his answer and there is no doubt in his or my mind that all I he needs to do is give the instruction and it will be obeyed.  I don't need to be in his presence or in his house to be motivated to do it.

Lately, I have also been contemplating the changes that are coming up in my life.  Soon I will be moving into the house with them and it would be naive of me to think that things are not going to be altered by that.  The very fact that I live thousands of miles away limits the ways in which he can use me.  It opens doors in some areas and closes many others.  Being in his house will allow for more physical reminders/evidence of his ownership over me.  The amount of time that he consumes on a daily basis and the ways in which he uses me is going to be different when I move in.

Do I think I will be more owned?  No, but I do realize that mentally, emotionally and physically things will be different when we live together.  It is a difference that we are all looking forward to and craving.

Need to just say... if a submissive feels in their heart they are owned by someone whether they live together or a thousand miles apart, then yep they are owned.  Now for my domly side... I could never feel that I owned someone unless that person wanted me to own them, whether living together or a thousand miles apart.

What makes you think that living together is a condition of ownership?

Thank you LA. Lots of couples do not live together and are owned, collared etc. Finances, jobs, family sometimes don't allow people to live together. It doesn't make their relationship less real or make them less owned. It is just the way things work in the real world.

It is what works for two consenting adults and what they have agreed upon and feel in their heart.

You are preaching to the choir here .. you can do, be and say anything you want.  You of course as the slave or Master have to put forth the option and have it accepted.
If you say it is, then it is.  No one but the two of you can change that.
Cheers
