Anyone can claim anything. Doesn't San Francisco have an Emperor of the Untied States? What matters is if what is claimed is recongized as claimed. So if the Slave answers "How high, Master?" when her master asks her to jump, the only real difference is a few miles.

I don't currently live with my Master, nor will I be living with him when i relocate this week. However, he still owns me, It wouldn't change if we did live together. I don't see what living together has to do with ownership. There are many M/s couples on here that do not live together.

It would depend on your definition of slave and your definition of ownership. In ancient Rome and in other more recent history, slaves never lived with their owners, but stayed in their own quarters. They are owned to serve. Period. Fast forward to 2007, here in the south there are LOTS of 'snowbirds' who own property here and other property in thier home state. The ownership of that property is never in question just because they are not physically residing in the house, and they only have to claim a primary residence for tax purposes. i am owned. i serve every day. my service is in how i conduct my life to honor my Master. We do not live together, we do not live in the same state. When i visit my Master, my service becomes more intimate but i am not less owned when i return to my home. i will not be more owned when i move in with Him, just happier.

I have never lived 24/7 with a slave. I like my own space too much. I still owned them and they served me when I wanted them to.

So, as stated at the beginning of this paragraph, it comes down to what you need to feel owned and then finding a dominant who agrees with your viewpoint or one who is similar enough in all other areas that you can begin moving together toward what the two (or three or whatever) of you decide is necessary for "ownership" to be in place.

one thing i have come to see for sure is relationships are not constants they are variations of passing moments. They adapt and change as time passes . in other words one might own something today and loose it tomorrow.

The dynamics of such a relationship are determined between you and your Master. You can be anything you want by those terms. As a slave you do as you are told because it is his wish for it to be done. As previously stated it is called whatever you want and it is whatever you define it as. The rest is logistics and semantics.

Not sure. But go flirt with a Dom/Domme, and see if you like it or not. If you are tempted to hit them, then you are probably not.
