I chalk it up to "Just another old crank, with ideas we got rid of 30 years ago, who didn't really get the memo back then..." It's shameful when say, anyone born after 1965 would propose something like that. I would have expressed his intent, I suppose as: "all our social policies are based on the ..." assumption " ... that their ..." social context and interpersonal relationships are " ... the same as ours _ whereas all the testing says not really."

We can read what he actually said, no need to alter the words. Do you agree that it is a fact that intelligence (but not scores on IQ tests) is equally distributed across racial lines?

Well, I did preface it with "I" would have said, so I'm not altering HIS words, am I? Is Intelligence equally divided across racial lines? Given my Physical Anthropology background, I would dispute the existence of anything called a race. I myself, think that Intelligence is a constant, and the more people you have, the stupider each one, on average, is. Let's see... Are Ashkenazi Jews smarter than Sephardi or Mizrahi? I don't think so. Are Jews smarter than the rest of the Caucasians. I don't think so. Are Caucasians smarter than Asians? Vice Versa? Nope. I think that there's a huge variation in people, and among any subset you'll find those who are barely functional, and those whom excel. I don't know if it's a FACT without any meaningful metrics. I could see various people arriving at different conclusions based on their choice of metrics to consider. Sounds like Global Warming. A Complex System, to which any Complex answer is wrong.

Actually, we are called Sephardim, but your Googling wouldn't have told you that. And your 'anthropology background' is as homemade as your legal or religious expertise. The existence and usage of racial categories has already been clearly defined within the context of intelligence and testing. Quit trying to hide behind another derail rant, and answer the quetion... do you disagree with Watson's statement that it is a fact that Africans are equally intelligent? Based on your hatemongering against every other possible group, I'd susepect that you do.

Being an Ashkenazi, perhaps I don't care what you call yourself? You understood the point, and that was sufficient. "Do you disagree with Watson's statement: that it is a fact that Africans are equally intelligent? " Equally intelligent as what? As each other, or as other populations. Again, since you can find really smart people and really dumb people everywhere, how do you determine that outside of cultural contexts?

Yes, that's what I'd like to know. There's absolutely no reason for the lower test scores (even taking the socio-economic aspect out of it) so what's going on? The only equality in testing you find is when the minority children have been homeschooled. Though I don't remember if they score on par with white homeschooled kids or not. I suspect they do (or should).
