ORIGINAL: juliaoceania On every level life is good. I still follow South Beach Diet principles. I do not weigh myself, but the other day my mom told me I look better on the way to turning 40 than I did at 30... I cross train about 14 hours a week... yoga, cardio, weight training, and balance training. I even see my abs these days! I am soooo proud of this. Are you still following Atkins? I'm very proud of you, sticking to it like that I've gone to a hodge-podge of low carb theories..... Atkins, Michael Eades' protein-power, and something called Paleo, which emphasizes natural foods, the ones we ate as we evolved: beef, poultry, eggs, nuts, and vegetables, but with dairy added. I've lost a total of 110 pounds, in a little less than a year, and am keeping my blood sugar at non-diabetic numbers That is so incredible! You are CM's biggest loser (and I mean that in the bestest of ways ...). I know what a struggle it is... I had gotten lax in my workout habits, feeling out of control over my life... my weight started to climb again last winter. I think I gained about 30 lbs back when I read SB. It has taken me all these months to lose, but I wear a size 8 now, last winter a size 14 was skin tight on me. I want to lose about 10 more lbs of body fat, but I am very happy with how I feel. I actually look forward to going to the gym every day... so this time I cannot conceive of anything that would make me change my lifestyle. And it is fun to turn heads going into middle age My brother is going to a nutritionalist because of diabetes...they were threatening him with insulin treatments. He reversed it with diet alone. Hopefully it will be a lifestyle for him too. Do you have anymore weight to lose?
