You're facts are only half right. Orthodox and Conservative Jews run by the mother's religion. Not sure about Reform. But Reconstructionist Jews accept children of any relationship, no matter if the mother or father is Jewish. We also accept gay and lesbian partnerships and unmarried couples. For modern Jews who have trouble with the traditional teachings, Reconstructionist Judaism feels like home. Except the new songs are badly written.
