ORIGINAL: meatcleaver Stablizing an addict is in society's interest as well as the addicts. Addicts don't go away by telling them to fuck off, they steal and prostitute themselves, spreading potentially harmful deseases that know no boundaries. . They are still out of my life where they decided to be. I've offered a place to stay, work, food, and help with rehab provided they gave up there drug using habbit. They chose to live on Crack Whore Ave. quote:
ORIGINAL: meatcleaver I don't think providing clean needles, quality drugs and somewhere to administer the drugs because I believe in being kind to addicts, it is because I believe in the benefit to society as a whole, you, me, the addict and everyone else. I didn't know that Heroin, Crack, Cocaine, Meth, PCP, and other Class I substances where quality drugs. After an addict gets there fix, how long are they required to stay before being allowed back with the public. Surely they can't be allowed to just leave as they please. Most of these drugs cause hallucinations, paranoia, and violent mood swings. Not every fix means "Ok, I feel fine now. Thanks for everything." Think how dangerous the roads and traffic will become. Think of all the security issuses this facility would face. Most of these addicts will continue to demand more and harrass all the staff. You can't allow someone like that to keep comming back. Once they're kicked out for good, it's back to square one for them. Not to mention, who wants there business, fancy hotel, condo, apartment, or home next to one of these dope giving facilities? Seeing addicts lotterying around and doped up can't be good for business nor property value. On a last note, the choice to feed someone there addiction means that we have given up on rehabilitating the person. Giving in means that we give up on hope. All we have to look forward to is seeing these addicts doped up for the rest of there lives. The person that we once knew will never have the chance to be the same ever again. So where is the real bennifit for you, me, society, the addict, and everyone else?
