then the debate would have to be why collars/rings/tatts at all when we all know in our hearts what we feel

I have had a fantasy that I would like being made into reality that My Dom picks out the perfect tatoo for me and has his initials embedded in the design. As I am getting it he is whispering in my ear how now I am really his forever. pant pant But first, I must find him.

Well for me, it is a fun fantasy. No debate about it, just something interesting to think about in my head.

hmm and also, what if a person was marked/branded/etc.. without their knowledge.  would that make them owned?  I read a while back how a doctor marked his initials or something to that effect, inside a woman during surgery. don't ask details because i don't remember them.

I have seen women who have things tattooed around their neck.  I don't know if it was a 'collar' but it looked really tacky to me.  It's a hot fantasy, but as someone else said....it doesn't play out that way in reality. Now...some sort of mark on my body (not my neck or my tummy) that signifies his ownership of me.  That's hot.

I have yet to see a neck tattoo that looks good so I'm not very optimistic about that idea. But the theoretical/mental aspect of it is very good.

A cop i once knew had a necklace tattooed around her neck and it looked awesome. I think it could difinately work well, but I'd be darn well sure the tat looked good and no names around my neck. nope nope

I can only imagine how stunning that neck tattoo would look when you're 80 years old and you've got turkey giblet neck

I strongly endorse placing tattoos only on skin that is unlikely to change shape/size drastically over the course of your lifetime.

has anyone done this? does anyone think it would fall under the superstition of tattooing a lover's name on yourself? i was reading a thread about collars, collars being symbols (like tattoos me thinks) and camoflaging them into 24/7 inside/out side wear... and i got to wondering if this idea appeals to any body out there?              phoenix

I would think that unless you were 120% positive about be able to retain your present job or get a new one where such a highly visible and controversial tattoo wouldn't be a problem, then it's one of those things that are nice in fantasy, totally impractical in reality.

Ummm, How is that unique? Isn't the inside of one duck pretty much like the inside of another duck? Hence, not unique!

Y/y'all have been very insightful on the idea. i like the notion of tattoo a symbol from your owner onto your flesh, but dislike the thought on an actual collar inked about the neck. names are a bad idea, imho. just me, but i can't break from the superstition.

Well I have a lil bit of ink on me, it's not how many tats I have, but rather how many hours I've been under the needle as I'm working on full sleeves. My ink is about me, my life, beliefs and ideals. Yes I have names on me and no I'm not sorry as it was a part of my past. As for the neck, I will have my slave's name inked across my throat. As for her, only my initials on her cunt. Tats aren't for everyone, I've seen some really excellent work and I've seen some really shitty ink. Whatever one decides, even though they can be removed, make sure it's something that means something to you and have no regrets. Ink will spread over time so fine line detail will blur with age. That cute lil butterfly can turn into a floppy dragon, all things to consider.

I recently had the absolute honour of recieving my Man's tattoo, but not around the neck. It's a pair of teeny handcuffs inside a circle made of the word 'slave' above and then po*** (property of 'his inititials') underneath ... and I love it..every time i think about it and every time I look at it. It was ultimately my choice to recieve it and in the end I ended up asking for it..after much discussion and consideration over many months. I went into it fully aware, and it's in a rather discrete place (sort of right side ovary area)...and if the relationship goes south, the only person i have to blame is me, but i was not about to pass up the opportunity over something I've fantasised about for years!

Daddy and i have talked about me getting another tattoo, and it will probably  happen one of these days.

but i wouldnt get another one on my neck, i have to consider how i look to family memebers.  i already have a triangular celtic knot on the back of my neck.

Well, at least in Minnesota the duck counts are way down, don't get to shoot many anymore, hence scarce---in conjunction, they are very different from  the insides of a human, you can tell the insides of a duck are not human with the most glancing perusal.  Therefore unique in the sense of comparison.

I have five tat's, three of which i love and two of which i look at and think why? They were a big mistake, huge mistake, gigantic mistake!!!! The first has my ex ex ex ex ex, longggggg time ago's b/f's name underneath it. The second is on my pubic bone line and says property of m with a love heart. Yes i could have them both covered and i'm sure i'll get around to it eventually. I kinda console myself with the fact that i dont have to see either of them, unless i uncover the parts of my body where they are.

So a collar on my neck would be a big no no for me, not even fantasy wise. Nothing ever really lasts  forever and i hate the thought of having that done, then being released and having to carry it with me through other relationships / life.

I have always fancied a brand, nothing symbolic of a relationship though, way too permanent for my liking
