quote:
We are all supposed to be adults right? We are all entitled to our opinions and we should all have the right to agree to disagree; yet it seems that many people are attacked for their opinions. Sounds familiar. The truth of the matter is, a lot of people have a really hard time seeing beyond their own perspectives. Some people just like to argue, and some are obsessed with being "right". The problem with opinions, is that everyone has them, and they're subjective. Being subjective in nature, you can't really quantify or pass value judgements on them, since, well, they're kinda personal in nature. Arguing over opinions is pissing in the wind.... unfortunately, there's a lot of really pissy wind. quote:
Also why do we need to place "LABELS" on one another? Can't we just be what we ARE? Because having classification for "stuff" helps people understand it more readily. Life is much easier when everything has a place and a name. Instead of making tons of qualifying statements about someone, you can simple stick a tag on 'em and be done with it. Some people balk at labels, others revel in them. Either way, they're kind of a fact of life, and can only hinder someone as much as they may allow themselves to be confined by an achetype.
