Once could say that I am still fairly new to the scene.  I have began a relationship with a female who appears to, at least for now be submissive.  She has already established calling me "sir."  I need a little help finding the right name for her.  Our 1st conversation that wasnt vanalla was about me helping her with an essay she was writing.

Any help or experience would be much apreciated.

Teachers pet?.....most usually, as the relationship develops, find their "pet" names..For now you could also just call her "Mine".....Tempting

Bobkgin -> RE: naming (10/4/2007 7:09:03 PM)

You might try her name.

Or "Miss XZY" where XYZ is either her first or last name.

Formality can be quite enjoyable. [;)]

"Right name"? In what way? Pam, Sue, slave?

And what does an essay have to do with any of this?

I'm with you, I'm confused. What's wrong with her own name?

xoxi -> RE: naming (10/4/2007 7:47:23 PM)

I think he wants a standard name...like the way "Sir" and "Master" are common to use for Dominants.

The most ommon names I've heard for subs are pet, girl, slave, toy, little girl, princess, and slut, and all of those tend to sound more endearing when preceded by "my" as in my pet, my girl, etc.  Some people also give their submissives a 'slave name' which tends to be something exotic or fantasy litearture oriented.  I've never met a girl whose slave name was Sue. Sioux maybe...but not Sue  [;)]

KatyLied -> RE: naming (10/4/2007 7:49:53 PM)

Call her "bitch" or "slut", some chicks really dig that.  Especially from guys they barely know.

Personally, it annoys me when someone that I don't belong to calls me those things. I find presumptous and disrespectful. Until I'm collared or contracted to you, I'm not your pet and most certainly not your slut.

'Cuz she's on her knees write now?

DiurnalVampire -> RE: naming (10/4/2007 8:15:36 PM)

Id say use her real name, until you are comfortable enough to find one that fits.
Angel wasnt named for several months after I met him. Kittens name sort of came to me when this big masculine guy curled into my lap and purred becasue i was playing with his hair...
The name, if you give one, will come to you when you are ready.  Until then, submissives come with a default one their parents gave them for use until then *grin*

Holy SHIT Ma'am...thats just priceless....LOL

clover0320 -> RE: naming (10/4/2007 9:17:38 PM)

Mine started as pet and then morphed into Lily. Lilies are my favorite flower because of Him, so it fits perfectly. :-) We also enjoy puppy play and my puppy name is Clover. Clover is more fun because she barks and growls ;-)

exogenous -> RE: naming (10/4/2007 9:45:02 PM)

With my former Dom, I sometimes referred to him as "Sir." More often than not, we would just use each other's given names (as in what was on our birth certificates). While assigned names of respect (or not) can be meaningful, it's really great hearing one's SO speak one's real name aloud. "Sir", "pet", and other nick-names were fine, but our own names were just more personal and had more meaning, to us.

DefiantFlower -> RE: naming (10/4/2007 10:21:46 PM)

i agree. While pet names can be sweet and endearing, or in other cases intoxicating and make your knees tremble, hearing my name roll from Daddy's lips is awesome. No idea why though. i guess like you said, it's extremely personal and intimate. Maybe because this is the name the world recognizes as "you." For your Dominant to acknowledge and use this name combines two worlds...or maybe it's my bedtime and i shouldn't be philosophizing at this late hour. [:)]  Just my $0.02.

CuriousLord -> RE: naming (10/4/2007 10:24:10 PM)

It wouldn't be so endearing if you derive it from here.  I won't even offer you an idea of a direction to take in looking for it.

It'll mean something when it's entirely your idea.  She's yours to name, after all.

The irony is how often this is true.

The thing too many guys mess up is that they can't pursue a female and call her a bitch.  "Bitch" is to make a female feel submissive.  It's just stupid when the guy's coming after her- she has the upper hand from the start and no reason to allow it to take.

Once a female is seduced, though.. even just in passing.. and the male carries himself well?  She'll wet herself over it, just like a good bitch.

Oh I agree 100%

I just assumed since the OP said he was in a relationship with the girl, that she was 'his' so to speak.

It's funny how what's incredibly irritating from one man's lips can make me melt when another man says it [;)]

sirguym -> RE: naming (10/5/2007 2:21:50 AM)

In my time I've named a lot of human ponies, puppies andd slaves.

Generally they have been delighted with the name I bestow and answer to it proudly.

Usually it just comes to you after watching them, looking closely, working with them, letting your mind turn over possibilities in the background.

Owner4SexSlave -> RE: naming (10/5/2007 2:32:41 AM)

I have always held the giving a names a bit like how the American indians used to do.  It is something that is earned and has deeper meaning.   It could be from something that happened or a certain personality characteristic.

A name holding a special meaning, instead of a name for the Hell of having a name. You can always use a generic pet name in the mean time.

It would be a special moment in time, if you gave this day upon an special occasion such as collaring day.  Make not only the name special, but how it's given.

There is nothing wrong with incorperating special ceremonies in your lifestyle relationships.  Think outside the box in terms of rituals and practices, and the giving of names and hows it's been done in other cultures (past and present).

heartcream -> RE: naming (10/5/2007 3:14:36 AM)

depending on my connection to him, my feelings for him, i love to hear my own name roll out of his mouth.

when i was in jamaica, almost everyone had a nick name that they were called more than their own name. strange names too. i met a guy called 'lettuce'. i agree that special names can come due to observations or whatever and i think that is swell.

i personally dont like those nick's that ring in a way to let me know any girl gets called that by the guy, like sweetie, it feels generic, with no thought or feeling involved.
