Yeah.  My subbie date ran into his high school teacher at Frolicon.  It was great.  We ended up having dinner together with her and her husband, and they really had an excellent reunion since he'd been a student she was extra proud of for various reasons.

She wasn't wearing much, put it that way, and she didn't seem embarrassed about it so he wasn't embarrassed either beyond an initial "Holy shit" reaction.  She's an older lady but definitely still had it to flaunt. When he wondered what her orientation was later, I asked him if he had noticed the clothespins on her largely-exposed nipples and he blinked.  He hadn't seen because it had apparently never occured to him to look at his teacher in that manner.  I thought that was pretty amusing.

I had a guy write me on this site who recognized me from the pic; he was my former next door neighbor.  I offered to introduce him to the local Munch group.  He chickened out and didn't answer.  Oh well, not my problem.  I'm really not in the closet, though I do believe in keeping my sex life reasonably discreet, mostly because I think it's inappropriate for anyone to bring any kind of sexual issues into the workplace or into the faces of your neighbors.  Unless they write you on CollarMe of course.  LOL

I ran into someone I know via a mutual friend on here a while ago. That was entertaining.

I ran into a guy I'd seen on alt at the grocery store once.  It was interesting to watch him move around with his sub and trying to discern if anyone else was picking up on the vibe of their dynamic, which is what caught my attention in the first place.

Heard a story a while back of this couple - he was a lot older then she. They spent a long time developing their online relationship. They decided to meet and he told her the hotel, what position to be in etc. To make a long story short - he walks in, shes there kneeling and naked and to both their surprise they were related

Yes and it was a old friend. She had a profile on another site. When I visited her and very directly asked her top bottom or switch. She laughed so hard it made her cry.  I think the most awkward one to date is when I was working as a addictions counselor and a female client outed herself to me. I of course didn't let her know about myself. It just goes to show that life is stranger than fiction.

Nope. I only ran into a councillor from the same political party that I'm a member of at a bdsm-party. We immediately recognised each other but it took some 10 minutes before we figured out we knew each other from national party conventions .

I ran into a pharmacist I used to work with at a play party once. Seems he had a thing for latex and cross dressing. We said hello and moved on. I see him at work to this day and we just smile at each other and say hello.

Have you ever seen your neighbor or co-worker in a kinky establishment?

Yes.. I have seen a couple co-workers...

One was rather shocked to see me as he wondered into the munch for his first time.  Poor guy turned rather white at the time... but he recovered and moved on.

The second one I met at an event.  He had retired about a year before.... I was his boss.  Damn if I would of known he liked the beatings I gave him.. then I would of tried a different approach to motivate him!

At one event I ran into someone I had shared a table with at a mutual friend's wedding. We just both agreed that made Us mutually outed so decided instead to sit down and talk about the lifestyle! It wasn't a hassle at all. Now I'm in a different state where I am far less known, the danger of such is greatly reduced!

An unfortunate result of a "kink gene"? :P

i have never run into anyone at a kink function, but i have passed people at the mall, and seen the eyes go round with "oh hell' look. that is always interesting.

of course, even more interesting was just seeing a 'dom' that i had met here in orlando on the news arrested as a potential serial rapist. that truly is a bit unsettling. eek!!

I ran into my manager and his wife to be at the Lions Den recently.  I thought he was going to crawl under a table and die, ebcaue she and I know one another and she was asking me opinions. I dont think he likes the idea I now know what sort of sex toys she likes, and waht flavors of lube she prefers... or he does. She kept asking him to come join the conversation...

I recognized someone from the other side at the Volunteer Firehouse Sunday morning pancake breakfast.  I got nervous for a second that he would recognize me and then I realized that he couldn't possibly because I'm actually a six foot tall black man.

I was at a school sporting event tonight and saw one of the coaches with her girlfriend. Now while her being a lesbian is not news to me (or to anybody else who knows her), the fact that her girlfriend was wearing a D-ring black leather collar was. I walked up to her and said with what I hope was a wry, knowing smile, and said, "Nice collar." She put her hand to her throat, and laughed, "Ya think?" We both walked away knowing that we were both aware of what it was. Kinda strange for me...but hey, I'm new right?

One thing I always found fascinating in the past is that people I knew in my vanilla life would "find" my secret or run into me in some kink part of the world and then act like I was the one who was discovered, kind of forgetting that they had to be there, too, in order to run into me in the first place. But I rarely actually run into people I recognize from the bdsm community because most of the people I hold as close friends tend to be in the bdsm community already. To be honest, I'm more worried people are going to find out about my secret identity, which will put a real damper on my crime fighting abilities when I put on the spiderman underoos.
