Have you ever seen your neighbor or co-worker in a kinky establishment?
Or in a collarme/alt/craigslist/metro advertisement?

The closest I've come to this was sitting next to a guy at the local munch who I realized lived down the street. Since I'm straight, it didn't do much for me by way of eroticism, but it really would be nice to see some of my neighbors or co-workers in a kinky situation along with me.

Alas, it has never happened. At least not to me.
I can't wait to see that smiling checkout lady in a myredbook review!

A former co-worker of mine has a profile here on CollarMe, as does a former friend/play partner of an ex slave. My ex wife had a profile here for a little while, as have a couple of ex slaves/girlfriends.

A friend of mine that works in my Hometown's EMS has a profile on CollarMe. When I worked in Memphis, I saw an Ex-Partner inside of a bondage club at the bar. I was shocked. I pretty much decided never to mention it to her.

When I had my picture on this site...my uncle must have found it...and questioned me about it at a family party...that was a pretty awful situation. No more pictures...I'll leave the for emails

I once started a nice online friendship with a young male sub. He sang and played in a punk band and lived somewhere in my town. One morning, while greeting a neighbor I saw walking his dog every day as I left for work, we started talking about our kids. Turned out his son sang and played in a punk band with the very same name as my subbie friend. This kid who had seen pictures of me naked and tied up lived four doors down from me. And I knew his parents.

I don't know where the boy is now; I still say hi to his dad.

Yes, because we live in a college town I've seen many of my students at local events once or twice, some became regulars of the local group. I just made sure to not engage with then in a beyond simple "hi" level until they were no longer students of mine.

I've also seen other grad students at events. Never professors though. My guess is that they are busy or worried about seeing their students.

at the very first swing party we went to my wife had just asked me "what if we run into someone we know?" and before I could say "there here for the same reason we are" in walks a couple we knew. (this was at a party like 100 miles from our home).

turned out she was kindy too.

the closest I have come is that I saw a guy that interviewed me in the dungeon at a local club. Not sure if he noticed me, but then during the interview he said that there were ALOT of interviews, so if he didnt remember, no big deal

A friend of mine said that she used to live next door to a kinky household, and didnt know it untill they were packing up to move out.

I don't do public kink stuff, but I have recognized people that I work with on this and other sites in the personals. It really doesn't effect how I deal with them, and I doubt they know it about me.

Not exactly, but when we were active with an area BDSM group, one of their munch locations was held at a restaurant in our town. We love the restaurant and went to the munch a few times, but there were a couple of workers that knew my Partner's family. The lively conversation going on made the possibility of outing likely, so we opted for out of town munches from there on. We simply didn't want to deal with the nosey questions that would be sure to come.

And I'll be honest, even though the typical assurance is that if you get caught, you can be sure the person who caught you is just as caught, so to speak.

I just can't bring myself to feel totally comfortable about my (hopefully nonexistant) first time.

At a meeting of the local club, I ran into a guy who grew up next to me; his mother and mine still lived next door to each other. I knew him from when he was a freckle faced little terror. Yikes!

I have one thats better than a co-worker.

I havn't seen my cousin in about three years, last time I saw her she was still in High School and was experimenting with gothdom, though she was also a cheerleader. I went to Folsom Street Fair last weekend, and bumped into her walking down the street.

She was in a black leather corset, had a half naked leatherboy on a leash, and two amazons and a drag queen in her entourage. She didn't see me, so I walked up and grabed her by the shoulders. In about half a second her face went from fear
"Oh my god I'm being attacked," to annoyance "not violent, who is this creep whose grabbing me then," to recognition "holy shit its my cousin," and back to fear "holy shit its my family and I'm in my full outfit!"

Needless to say, she calmed down a little bit (we were at Folsom after all, its not too mch of a strech to assume someones into the lifestyle when they are at the Street Fair) and it was amazing to see how far shes grown in the last few years.

The owner of the hobby shop where I raced slot cars as a kid came into the porno theatre I was running one night. He didn't recognize me. Not that I would have cared, but I'm glad he didn't have to go through any discomfort due to my presence. Ironically, my best friend and I had just rediscovered slot cars, so I was, at that very moment, painting all my cars in team livery and putting little drivers in the cockpits. And what a team I had: Two Ferraris, a 312 and a Daytona coupe; a Mercury stock car; a seriously quick Porsche 911...but I digress... Anyway, Joe would have been proud of me.
