Okay, now that I am finished ogling Aileen's new photo and actually do have some time for intelligent (yes I know, that is a matter of opinion) thought and typing I am going to answer as I should. One thing I have discovered is that a good portion of my life has been about compromise, doing what is best for everyone else in my life. I feel that when I made certain commitments like having children, I created a need to compromise alot of what I WANTED for doing what was in their best interests. Alot of the time I have been able to do both, yet there have also been times when I could say I got the short end of the stick. Yeah, looking back......sometimes it SUCKED. But, such is life. This is the way I choose to look at it. At some level I honestly believe we choose our life paths based upon lessons we need to learn. So, when I take this approach it gives me a reason to appreciate the less than thrilling aspects of those choices. I just look at the big picture and all the wonderful things and people I do have in my life, not what is missing. Not what I wish I had or things I wish I had done differently. That is a no win path to take. I prefer to take it a day at a time, try to make the best choices for everyone involved as they come up and look forward with anticipation at what wonderful things might be down the road.
