SusanofO -> Is Chastity more prevalent for males than females? (9/25/2007 5:11:26 PM)

I am wondering if it is more common for Dommes to require Chastity of their male submissives, than it is for male Doms to require chastity from their female subs. I have just gotten this impression, but am not sure if it's true or not, and so am asking what people actually do in practice.

If you are a male submissive - are you required to practice Chastity? Or if a Domme, do you require it?

If you are a female submissive, are you required to practice Chastity? or if a male Dom, do you require it?

I have no experience at all with the practice of Chastity - no Dom has yet expected this of me, and I was deprived of sex for far too long in my marriage, to require more than Orgasm Denial, periodically, from a male submissive (but not ongoing, or even periods of Chastity.)

For the record, I do not equate orgasm denial with chasitity. To me, chastity is complete denial of sexual engagement with a submissive - not simply orgasm denial (if there is any question).

So - what say you? Just wondering about this.

Thanks for any replies.

I'm still trying to figure out why anyone even practices chasity in the first place.

My best guess so far isn't satisfactory.  That a lot of Domme's see sex as something masculine, so by having slaves abstain, they're controlling them.  Or maybe that they're used by sexually scarred dominants as a way of the dominant itself gaining control over sex?  Meh.

In any case, the one thing I can provide on this topic is an instance of empiracle evidence.  This male 'Dom' doesn't use chasity.

I've used chastity to help fenm subs refocus thier intent in d/s-when I was really into that sort of thing. People thought I was nuts for doing it.

Because they are afraid they wont get laid if they admit to this.

Remember where we are? I'm fearless, I don't care. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

SusanofO -> RE: Is Chastity more prevalent for males than females? (9/25/2007 6:15:14 PM)

Well really? You seriously think that is the reason? If people are gonna require it, or do require it currently, or if they are required to practice it, then why can't they admit to it?

It's just a question, not a big deal, IMO. I am just curious, that's all it is really. I hope more people reply.

I have noticed how people are focused on image and validation here-have you?

There's an old saying, that men give love to get sex, and women give sex to get love. Maybe Domme's require chastity to make sure that the service and devotion they are given is not being bought with sex. And maybe most Dom's require sex because that is the bonding element in their relationship. I am just guessing.

Hi Susan.

I think you will find that male chastity = orgasm denial. Now typically the males are used for the Domme's entertainment... :-) after all she is NOT in chastity, while the male is denied such pleasures. Oh he is teased to no end,but it is entirely up to the Mistress as to whether or not he gets to cum. His orgasm may even be wrecked if she wishes....or he can be milked...both are not "fun" typical orgasms.Again up to the Mistress.

For a Mistress to control something as basic as your own pleasure is a rush for some men. One Mistress said,"Control the orgasm, control the man!". She wasn't all wrong. Think of chasity like a diet. The moment you start thinking about not being able to eat that ice cream, damn, that is on your mind more often than not!Well same for the fellas and their cocks. Plus most men find their "submissive head space" declines after they climax...so to keep that "high" deny the orgasm.

Now women are a very different kettle of fish. For them I think it is more a form of bondage.Definately not done long term due to sanitary issues.

In my opinion, men are much more inclined to be in chastity than women.

just my 2 cents!

Susan, I've the same impression myself.  I've never met any Dom who required chastity that I knew of, either fem or male.  If profiles are any measure to go by, it would suggest its more common among Dommes than Doms.  On several of the chastity belts sites (the ones who actually sell them, i mean), its stated that male belts far outsell female ones.

feralcat -> RE: Is Chastity more prevalent for males than females? (9/25/2007 6:37:01 PM)

I find that there are MANY men who buy their own chastity belts...WITHOUT a Mistress prompting them. Chastity has a VERY large male population......very large...I find it very fascinating...imagine denying the very basic pleasures in life...restricting, controling your pleasures. Interesting........

I agree, I used it more as temporary control to crank up the tension. Long term has health risks I'd rather not take.

HollyBlue -> RE: Is Chastity more prevalent for males than females? (9/25/2007 6:42:57 PM)

The shortest answer I can give is this:

I cannot foresee total chastity in my life, ever, because my Master is so self-admittedly addicted to the pussy he owns (mine) that you probably couldn't pay him to stay out of it. Therefore, if he can't be chaste, then I can't very well be either.

As to orgasm denial, the idea of doing it over the short term excites both of us, but because I am given to mood episodes, and we don't want to get me worked up into too much of a state by not letting me come for too many days. If I didn't have that condition, Master would more likely deny orgasm to me for longer periods of time occasionally, just to exert control and build my longing to a fever pitch.

We are both very turned on by the idea of female chastity belts, but we don't really understand them. Considering the fact that I seem to have to pee at least once every hour, I would really need something that allows me to pee, but not to touch my clit or vagina, and I don't seem to see anything like that in the on line BDSM stores.

I would imagine chastity is more prevalent for males.   Whereas I have read and heard of female dominants requiring chastity/denying sex very frequently, I cannot say I've read a whole lot of male dom profiles speaking of keeping her chaste.   There may be more of a social stigma attached to a man who refuses/cannot have sexual intercourse with his lady/girl/slave.   M

I've been asked to make ones with a dished grille that fit tightly over  the cunt, rather than a plate or slot. I'll have to look into it once I can find a local stunt bottom to fit one too. Cleaning could be taken care of with a spray hose in the shower, and a towel that way-but you could not finger the clit.

It would also allow for air circulation-very important.

Ah, air circulation! Excellent point.

Yeast infections are not a fun reason for chastity. [:'(]

Your design idea sounds very promising.

I'm a dyed in the wool bondage freak, holly. I'm definitely interested in most anything to do with physical restraint.

Especially effective and SAFE restraint.[;)]

Holly,
You might want to check out Locked In Steel for female chastity belts....warning they are not cheap, but definately made for daily use...no touching allowed!

feralcat -> RE: Is Chastity more prevalent for males than females? (9/25/2007 7:04:46 PM)

RRafe,

Chastity makes for some great bondage! It adds an extra edge to the locks, straps, and restraints! Good luck with your female design.

Feral
