I have to agree there. I thought with all of the knowledge about AIDS that is out there, that this(the bug chasing) would be no longer a problem. Apparently it still is.

I see one asked why would someone do that. Well, it could be alot of things, one being an already overwheming sense of dread about catching it anyway and wanting to get it over with. Yes, someone has stated that before.
