Personally, I would wish for a kef branded on my thigh as a sign of ownership. Tattoos are always nice though; as are piercings and cuttings.

In addition to the triskle, there are pride flags. This one is the BDSM/Leather pride flag:

This on is the Master/slave pride flag:
http://www.masterslaveflag.com/html/faq_s.html

And then, there's the hanky code used for flagging that LA mentioned:

For those familiar with flagging and how the original, simple list has been expanded beyond belief, check out the amusing list at the end of this page:http://www.cufsnorth.org/Old/FunFlag.htm

I've really never found the need to proclaim myself , or my interests in a public manner.   At least not with the use of symbols.  I've  behaved submissively in public....but thats about it.

i don't know much about flagging but i have been told by others that it is not universal. What might mean one thing on the west coast can mean something totally different on the east coast

What are "O" rings?

An "O" ring is a ring, I think it comes from the story of "O", hence the name.

Or flagging?  Why make a whole new system when one's already in place?

The first symbol I ever read about was the "O" ring inspired (apparently)  by the movie "The story of O" so I just asumed it was the most popular andso the most commonly used. But flags work, hankies which are a specific colour, or with a particular design, or flags, or the triskele, whatever.

I think the moral is what ever works for you is fine.

i giggled my hiney off at that last one....i came up with my own flagging for kitty play but i have yet to see anyone pick it up or recognize it but i have had my friends say it worked for them.....a little ball of yarn (wrapped like you are balling yarn then shoved through with a large needle so it stays) hanging out my back right pocket....

I personally like the bdsm pride flag and wish I had more ways to wear it more often. I do have a singletail tattooed around my arm and it has started more than a few interesting conversations. You never know who you will meet if you are comfortable being "open" with your interest in BDSM...
