While reading another post identifying symbols were brought up. I think it would be a great ideal if we had some type of symbol to wear that would tell someone that we were into the lifestyle. The downside is that once the word got out about the symbol then everyone would know what it ment. Like the rainbow pins a while back. So how about some kind of hand signal. The one with the middle finger extended would not work.

The "triskele" developed by Quagmyr is often considered symbolic of BDSM.

This is a pretty recognizable symbol. Scooter, Jewel and i worked into our tattoos.

Not everyone can wear a pin or button all of the time. Im sure that your not going to walk around lifting your shirt sleeve all of the time showing your Triskele symbol.

It is for the most part almost always visible. Unless of course i am wearing my leather or my snowman jammies.

That's it! We can all wear snowman jammies to identify that we are all in this together.

the only hand signals and pins i use are for the ones designated with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc

i don't need a symbol to publicly show that i'm part of the BDSM community - my collars and ankle chains do that for me

I've worn one of Quags necklaces with the emblem on it for nearly 8 years now. When I was working with the public there were an awful lot who knew what it stood for lol, always interesting conversations from that.

WooHoo! Count me in, i LOVE my snowman jammies!

Ok, i love snow and snowmen. Our Christmas catalogs just started coming in and i found something i just have to have so bad i told Scooter and Jewel i really want this( i rarely ask for anything, they will tell you that).

It was a complete snowman bed in a bag set complete with curtains, table runners, everything.

I could spend all winter with snuggled up with snowmen all around me..

Well, that's laisseze faire at its most fundamental example.

I have some special hand signals I use in private conversations.

I would hope you shield your kids from that type of dinnerware.

What's wrong with the "O" ring?. Dommes/Doms. wear it on their left hand, subs. on their right.

Or flagging?  Why make a whole new system when one's already in place?
