My personal opinion is that the States need to start exerting their actual powers FOR the kids, not against them. But, no, like everything these days, the innocent get punished for the guilty. If the State did not give into the threat of lawsuits... if the judicial system actually was even SORTA fair.... the frivilous (I say FRIVILOUS) law suits would have no chance in hell and then the liability and costs would go down tremendously for the schools, kids would have more exercise and behave better, making, one would hope, less insane rules IN the schools, giving the kids more room to breathe, helping them learn and think for themselves, which in turn will help them be adults who might take responsibility for their OWN actions, which might help put folks into power who give a damn, are fair , and I dunno Honest, and give a rats patootie..... That was a run on sentance to illustrate the trickle down effect I think is part (I do say PART) of what is wrong with schools today. More money per capita, even taking inflation into consideration, is being poured into schools and the results are that kids parents have to buy the SCHOOLS supplies, teachers go broke trying to get their classes things, etc. AND back even 20 years ago, the teachers salary was a much higher percentage of the published funding that went to the schools to begin with. Ok, now I need a tylenol.... LOL M. Daisy (no this topic is not a hot one for me at all..... nawwwwww)
