I was wondering if anyone knows where i could find examples of protocols written for pet play. I play a cat, and so cat play protocols are the most desirable but any pet would do.

Hmm..a lot of this is dependent upon your Master/Mistress.
For example being a cute lil kitty...of course you crawl on all 4's, rubbing against your Master/Mistress's leg, learning to purr would be a plus, probably refrain from scratching the sofa if you get clawed gloves, using a human sized litter box (good degradation their) cleaning yourself, licking your Master/Mistress. learning to meow also would enhance and be adorable, I would think other than cute clothing (tail ,claws, ears) maybe learning body paint and painting a feline design on your naked body to please your owner a bit more, having a bed you curl up in next to his/her bed...no real protocal I suppose, just play the role the best as you possibly can. if you want to get punished, go ahead and scratch the sofa lol. hell piss on the floor if your willing to take that punishment

lets see...kitty play protocols...if the owner does not feed you on time or the meal is not adequate...pee in his shoe
if the owner does not scratch your back every night while he's watching tv on your schedule...pee in his shoe
if the owner does not paddle you enough (for the maso-kitties)...pee in his shoe...
is there a pattern developing?

waaay back when I was young and pretty I had a domme who was heavy into dog play...I'll write down how she did things, I know dogs are different than cats, but maybe it will help.

It would be expected for me to be in dog position when she got home..on the couch or on my pillow doggie bed (which just suck if you're over 6 feet tall) scamper over to her as she came in the door, "jumping"/pawing as an untrained puppy welcoming a packmate home, til I got commanded to get down...then I'd get played with/belly rubbed in proper greeting, then she wuold go about her day letting me follow her room to room as she disreguarded me, I could wimper for attention now and again but should never push it lest I get the newspaper on the snout (thank god this was before the NYtimes was nationally delivered, she'd have hit me with the damned sunday edition and I'd still be getting coloring books for christmas)

then I would be put through my training session, pretty standard stuff, sit, heel, etc.  --with a cat this is kinda pointless but you see the logic...and we'd spend the evening with her watching tv with me at her feet until gravy time..which I'll leave to your imagination.

I don't know if that really helps or not, but hopefully it will give you an idea, ...alot of it is just acting as a shaman taking on the animal aspect and staying in character as much as possible

**one warning, I don't know if it's still true since it's been years since then, but  flea-collars contract after hot hot showers, so take them off first.

The only protocol you need to have is not to give chellekity water to drink. I dont think that there is any protocol for pet play. Talk it over with your Master and see what rules you want to set. Some people are into this more than others.

giggles...i wouldn't really pee in his shoe...cause if the kitty peed in his shoe...then chelle would have to clean it...and since chelle doesn't want to clean it, the kitty doesn't get to pee in his shoe...

I would suggest going to animal training experts, in books and on video.  Such material details common behavior of the species and what it usually signifies, and how to use this understanding of the animal's nature, to interact with the animal and tame or train it.

Although domestic species of cats are thought of as loners, they have been observed to have pride (community) behaviour, when they have the opportunity to interact more freely with others of their own kind.  I dare say, it's humans whom they do not always deign to treat as their equals.

If you are interested in studying their physical movements more carefully, I know that there is at least one documentary-type program that studies their movements and other characteristics - it's the sort of thing they'd produce for the Discovery or TLC channels.

If you're interested in the behaviour of big cats, there are some who have quite literally lived with them - some of them have brought them to their environments, by establishing preserves, in which they people also live, and some of them have followed them, in the wild.  But that's probably far afield of your interest, if you want to be a domestic kitten.

And yet, it does have its practicality, as it is a hiding place that should elude hyenas and jackals and vultures.

Perhaps you could be a slightly more domesticated pantheress - one who spreads a tarp?  If it would not dull your carnality.

Funny how puppy and pony play can work with either sex.. but felines always seem feminime to me.

Cats are pets, but they enjoy more privlidges than do dogs or horses. Cats, for instance are allowed to sleep in the same bed as their owners. (Althought hey do have a tendancy to push their asses into their owner's faces.)

Cat's also: demand regular "feeding" times. And they love to lick "cream." (Think about those strap ons, that have resiviors in them, that you could fill with milk, or other white fluids.)

Cats can demand being petted. They love to snuggle.

Cats are often given "toys" and owners can spend hours enjoying watching their pets play with them.... hours!

Bells on the collar.. very nice.

Eating out of a bowl in the kitchen... Tuna, usaully.

Cat's love to lounge on the floor, stretched out, and legs open to the world....

Cat's love to play with balls... of string.

Cat's love to howl when mating... really loudly, and usually at 3:00 am.

spreading a tarp without opposable thumbs would cause me to splatter blood on the wall in frustration and then the chelle half would get mad cause blood is hard to clean off the walls...
