       You are very right, Caitlyn.  Those sort of tactics are a big part of the reason I'm not on that side anymore.    Do you think he's even aware of the irony in spouting about "Faux" news in one post, and linking to Air America in another???

IMO, Regan was a complete fraud and failure,but I`ll give him credit for one thing.

Remember: He located NYC's disaster recovery center where it would be convenient for him walk over to it, and use it to fuck his homewrecking mistress.

I guess he's just too fucking cheap to get a room at the Marriott...

I'm not interested in occupying the moral high ground. I'm interested in winning elections and stopping the neo-cons and the christian reconstructionists from destroying this country.

In 1988 Dukakis occupied the moral high ground and Bush I's dirty tricks team wiped the floor with him.

In 1992 and 1996 Clinton made it abundantly clear he was perfectly willing to fight in exactly the same way as the GOP. The result was 8 years of prosperity and mildly progressive politics.

In 2000 Rove demolished all other GOP candidates and then went after Gore who was completely unwilling to get down in the mud and give as good as he got. Massive systematic vote fraud and suppression certainly played a role but Gore's unwillingness to fight fire with fire is why it was close enough to make a difference.

In 2004 Rove was able to make being a decorated war hero into a political negative simply by giving a lot of money to a bunch of liars. Kerry wanted to stay above that stuff and again the vote was close enough for the GOP to steal it.

Now in the lead up to 2008 we see the GOP testing the water trying to see if they can manipulate the Dem primaries so as to get a candidate other than Hilary, Rove's shots last week, articles about her high 'negatives' etc.. Now why is that? Is it because the GOP dirty tricks guys know Hilary and Bill are ready for them and are just as good at going nasty as they are? Even worse for the GOP dirty tricks guys is that a Clinton/Obama ticket is a possibility. They tried to turn Obama into a muslim terrorist and it didn't take. They've tried the drug angle and found no purchase there either since he admitted to it all well before his campaign. They're looking at a ticket that would draw well over 50% of the 'soccer mom' vote along with 90+% of the black vote which even with their most vicious voter suppression and fraud still means a landslide nationwide with long coattails in Congress. So expect a renewed leftist 3rd party candidacy and various progressiely more desperate 'scandals' to be manufactured trying to discredit Hilary and Barrack over the next year. Assuming, as appears likely, that it is Clinton/Obama against Romney/whoever then next fall should see a negative campaign equivalent of a nuclear holocaust.

Pardon me? Where did I say that? BTW what slur has been visited upon Rove's stepfather? His own words and testimony from others indicate he was both gay and a serious BM fetishist. Now what that does is to further discredit Rove since it is proof of a disconnect between his public and private life. Which considering his various outrages against decency is certainly something he himself would do, has done, to an opponent.

BTW if you have that much trouble reading for comprehension I recommend you take some remedial courses at night so you can cease making silly and obviously wrong claims about things others wrote.

Status: offline 		How is what Roves dad (may, again absolutly no evidence has been presented, in the interview on the Maddow page the guy said proof would come later, but lets assume it is true for now) did after Karl grew up and left home, Karl's private life. 

Now if Rove was a drunken bottom, who liked to pass out durring play parties at his home with strangers, had a cock full of piercings, this would be news and evidence of a disconnect between Rove's personal and public lives.

but this is not the case at all.

I can certainly see young adult Karl watching his dad abandon his mom, turn into a drunk who passes out durring play parties with strangers looking at pictures of the Un mentionables, deciding that the homosexuall lifestyle is kind of abusive and negative, certainly not something to be enshrined in marriage.  His dad certainly (according to this account) did not play safe nor sane, and that indicates a tortured suffering soul.  Would any of you host a play party with strangers and allow them to look at pictures of your kids?  Would any of you want to have pictures of your kids looked at durring a play party?  Would any of you pass out drunk during a play party, at your home with strangers?

Furthermore, Louis could have made anyone he wanted as the executor of his will, he chose to not have one of his play partners do it.  He could have willed his address book to one of his play partners, he didn't.  Why didn't any of his close friends notice he had died?  There seems to be a rather long gap between the great parties where he would pass out and the party would continue, and the current time.  Maybe he realised that the people he was hanging with (like the scumbag who is outing and posting pictures he took in private on the web (can any of you justify doing that?), I see why he blocks out his face in his picture), were no good.  There is a lot left out of this story, besides any proof whatsoever

      What I'd like to hear is an answer to the question, "So fucking what???".  When Rove pushed a platform against gay marriage, we now know he wasn't just reading the polls.  He had something to form an opinion on.  If his exposure had been to someone who entered a committed long-term kind of relationship, the outcome might have been different.  Instead, Rove saw the gay-lifestyle through the other end of the spectrum.  Daddy was a 'pig.'


     Alcoholic stepfathers...  Seems like a mean-spirited and petty attack.  No suprise when people starting putting hate above all their other values.

I mean I am no fan of Karl Rove but he wasnt running for office. He never made any public promises of anything. And I dont think has ever lied about this....

It's not any different than Cheney's daughter being a lesbian. I really fail to understand why straight people are bashed when they have homosexual family members. I have members in my family whose lifestyle I dont agree with, and I am sure many dont agree with mine. But that doesn't change anything really. We are still and always will be family.

I seriously dont think most Republicans gives a rats ass about homosexuality. That's something only the far-right is against. Look at all the Republicans who are supporting Rudy Guiliani. Actually ,it`s not a big deal ,at all.Rove`s roll in Plamgate,now that`s a big deal.Still would like to hear a neo-con, explain that one away.

The only one`s making this a big deal are republicans,which exposes the character flaws.

The fraudian slips,  of outraged and disgust ,when I mentioned Rove`s dad and his background,acting like I had insulted or "outed" someone who was gay(like it`s something shameful),saying I was being intolerant(that`s a good one),saying that it was "mighty republican" of me(now that`s irony!lol)

He didn`t "go gutter" with the gay issues because of a higher moral purpose.He did that because he`s a low life weisle,who can`t win on the merits.

From the interview I heard,with one of Rove`s dad`s closest friends,the man was well liked and loved,and earned everyone`s respect.He was a genuine friend and not anti-social in any way.

Could you explain this?Just what are you inferring or suggesting?That there is something wrong with the gay lifestyle.Or are you suggesting that Rove is a victim?
