My mom bought a pair of socks that says "Dominatrix" on them with little handcuffs. She doesn't know what this means. Should I tell her, or should I let her wear them for a day first? I know people might not even notice them, but it's just the thought of her having worn them all day. Am I evil for even considering this?

seems like time for a daughter /mother talk ,, you never know what you might find out parents have a way of keepeing secrets,, and well letting the kids know in suttle ways,, you might want to take the coy approch and ask her where she found the socks ,, and why she bought them ,, just an idea for an opener MasterMataeo

LOL. Good point came4u and MasterMataeo. If she's not as clueless as I think, then I have seriously underestimated her acting ability. I guess I just always imagined she'd have spanked me more as a child if she enjoyed it.

omg Tigress, lol one of my daughters is a teacher, another a banker, another is a business owner, quite prim and proper and would freakkkk at my er extra curricular obsessions LOL. They think I am a badass, cuz I fake that so well. So shock would put it mildly.

I willing to bet that she has at least some of idea of what it means. She may not know what it means to you, she may associate dominatrix with lots of leather, insane heels, whips and chains but if she's watched any late night TV she's probably heard the term. My guess is that she just thinks it's funny, like the teenage girls walking around with t-shirts that suggest how easy they are.

I suggest she sees them as any other pair of novelty socks, it might as well say "2Hawt4U". I certainly don't think most people have no idea what a Dominatrix means. She probably just thought they were cheeky.

Mommas know more than we would ever comprehend :) Play sweet and ask her what she thinks that means? If she is wise.. then come it to her :) My best friend's daughter showed her her a flogger one night cautiously explaining the new "rage". Boy was she surprised when Momma showed her her toy bag!
