So last night, Sir and I were perving lots of profiles on a swingers site on the net. I happened to see some guy I thought looked cute and said, hey, pull his pic up. Turns out he's one of the squad leaders in Sir's platoon. Sir jumps up and goes OMG thats L***. So I sent him an email. With the subject line of "Hey! I know your CO"..5 minutes later I get an email reply from the specialists girlfriend discussing the heart attack I apparently gave him.

Anyway....anyone ever come accross someone they know in a vanilla way, and learn alot more about them than you ever planned to on the net?

Yep apparently my aunt is really into lots of things and is seeking a threesome partner. Of course after I found out, she asked for my help with getting her guy to say what he was looking for and getting her info set up how she wanted it. Crazy family I tell you ~_~

I never have but I did hear a funny story once.  Actually I've heard a couple of versions of the story which leads me to believe that it is an urban myth (I suppose I should check out Scopes).

Supposedly this guy, looking for kinky sex, made contact with a woman looking for kinky sex.  They agree to meet for the first time in a coffee shop and that is when the guy discovers it is his sister.

No explanation on why they didn't exchange photos before the meet.  Like I said, probably just an urban myth.  I've also heard versions where the woman turns out to be the guy's mother or daughter.

And, of course, let's not forget that famous song... "if you like pina coladas..."

I met  a guy that used to go to school with me and lived in the house I do before me on alt.com

It was kind of neat to remember back then.

It's a neat story.  To answer the question, not really like you have.  The most I've done is seen updated profiles of the two subs from this site I've tried dating in my area.  (Such as, one didn't work out because she was really into bloodplay and I couldn't find it to be any more of a turn-off.  So she was sure to empathize her interest in it in her revised profile.)

One question, though.  The title, "FUBARs"- what's this a reference to?

It might be a German word, but traditionally, it's been a funny military acronym that stands for Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition.

"Everything's all FUBAR'd!"

As is SNAFU....Situation Normal, All Fucked Up

Tends to happen quite a bit with me...

once upon a time, I was the caterer for a fairly exclusive set of play parties. Kinda fun, seeing how many people I recognized. And then showing up in their offices asking them to back kink-friendly legislation on a local level...

I have a wonderful autograph collection from others at said parties. Lots of actors you wouldn't think were into that sort of thing...

Fubar stands for F'ed up beyond all recognition.  From what I understand, it originated in the military so it does seem appropriate.

When I was living back in NY, working for the city, I was new in a department. I didnt know the guys well, but I was the only female in the group.  No big deal. My desk-mate 'J' and I got along well, and we started having lunches together more often than not.
About the same time, I was networking with other Dommes in NY, haivng just gotten back into the lifestyle after a vanilla breakup.  One of the Ladies I was talking to told me about meeting a wonderul new boy out in the city. She and I decided that her having him there was a perfect reason to meet up, since she was going to meet him afer he got off work, not far from where my new office was. I broke my normal lunch plans with 'J' and went to meet her.
After lunch, 'J' asked me to help him get ready for a date. He had a tie and everything, but he couldnt get it to set straight. So, being the maternal type, I was straightening his tie when I realized it wasnt a really bad knot keeping it fro setting in place. He was wearing something under his shirt collar.
Long story short, 'J' was the new boy my Domme friend was talking about.  He walked me down to the subway, which was across from the cafe he was meeting her at.  She was already there, and when she waved across the street, we BOTH waved back.
