I have been naturally red since birth. I remember when the study came out, approx. 6 years ago when I was having several dental procedures done. I pulled the results and gave them to my dentist so he would know that I wasn't kidding. I usually take 4 does of novacaine to drill my teeth. I can't use the stuff that numbs you without making it feel like you have a fat lip, I need the old fashioned numbing agent. When I had my "Thing 1 and Thing 2," the regular epidural didn't do squat and they had to give me a second one. It was crazy bc the nurse kept saying, "You don't feel a thing now, do you?" I wanted to amputate her limbs one at a time so she would kinda get the picture from my side. As for play, I can take quite a lot, and have yet to safeword. I think it may be a mental thing with me, in that, I know that there is an expectation of pain with my play with Daddy, and it is gradually brought on so my body builds up tolerance. When I go in for a medical or dental procedure, I want it pain free. When I had sinus surgery 7 years ago, I didn't take any meds post-op as I didn't think the pain was intolerable. I have to be careful about taking pain meds anyway, bc a little goes a long way at times. I've taken regular Tylenol and knocked out from it. So, I think it can be a two-way street. When it's dental work, the nerves are extra sensitive, and I say gimme as much juice as you got! When it's play, the sky's the limit... bring on the sting. [8D] ~ Daddysredhead (edited for spelling)
