so, it's been 2 hours since i called my boss & told him i had had it & he needed to do something & he said that he would & get back to me...what's the appropriate amount of time to wait for this call before finding a sledge hammer & taking it to the truck?

Have you tried calling and talking to him again? Or at least leaving a voice mail?

Burning is boring, unless the truck is going down the highway as a 70 mph fireball. Then it looks cool. No, nobody got seriously hurt but I-95 was shut down for a while, to the irritation of the other drivers.

It happened today just north of the Port St. Johns interchange on I-95 southbound. I did not witness it in person but the video from someone's cell phone looked cool.

gawd, i love old trucker stories...didja hear the one about the mechanic who didn't do the wheel seal right & the drives caught on fire & there was 10 feet of flame shooting out from under the back of the 53 foot trailer??
