If the idea was to send a single message of "We the people are tired of business as usual politics" and that was the only slogan or issue on the agenda, I would support it. People keep drawing lines, and it keeps division. The death of this country is not going to be from out of control politicians, but from fanatical, party cheerleaders that perpetuate a division among the people.

Revolution!!!! Revolution!!!!

Give me a reason!!!!

Give me a cause!!!!

Let's burn this motherfucker down!!!!!

H. Rap Ron

Isnt that a disco song?

i dont think we are at that point.  (yet)  however it is soon coming if people do not realize what is coming down.   It all starts with something as silly as taxes, and as atrocious as 911.   Few people today even remotely understand the forefathers intent.

How many have even read the notes written by our forefathers when forming this country to get a reasonable understanding of what it and freedom really stand for?

i bet maybe 5 and i am being generous with that guesstimate to the extreme.

I wish Gill Scott-Heron's 'The revolution will not be televised' were playing as I read through this thread. Granted the lyrics our dated but what a deep funk.

Why has the blood of Freedom and Liberty been diluted so much to produce such apathy today?

Welfare?

The Nanny State?

'Thing is FargleBargle, the above is absurd.

Ask yourself which political group are most active in protesting government policy in places like Iraq?

Now, I know in England it is the left, and I'll take a wild stab in the dark that in the US it is the left.

Seriously, when was the last time the right involved themselves in mass public protest in any country?

Yeah, the left believe in social provision for disadvantaged groups, but they're the ones out there marching in London, Manchester and all over the world against invasions in Iraq.

'Problem with the right is that they're too busy worrying about their private property. They've been completely and utterly conned. The establishment want you to feel secure with your private property, so that you continue to invest and keep the economy ticking over, from which they take the lion's share, and, by the way, they share the same values as the right i.e. the freedom to chase individual business initiatives (above all else) is their mantra, too.

Seriously, the last time the right made a public political statement in any country (bar fascism)?

Robespierre........we must force the people to be free..........is this the stirring of a left-wing revolution in the US?

We are unsure, we are winging it on this end, old sport.

But slamming someone into solitary, without an attorney, or arraignment for 1300 DAYS isn't a crackpot conspiracy, is it? It is established fact.

And if they can do it to a suspected muslim, why not a Jew? Why not anyone? Why not you?

So why do you help them get away with it, by obfuscating every attempt to hold rational discourse condemning such things?

What "Rational Discourse" is needed? I suppose the Bush Apologists will say there needs to be some sort of discussion, but his crimes are clear for all to see.

Once the governmental and media response puts the terrorists and their issues on the front and editorial page of every newspaper, the terrorists have won their first objective.

Bin Ladin WON when Bush, as ordered, pulled US Troops from his homeland, Saudi Arabia.

Everything else is just negotiating the Whore's Price.

...speaking as a Bush critic (although that makes me sound like a specialised shrubbery journalist) i also think there needs to be discussion. Justice must be seen to be done, and the Bush apologists deserve their time in court too.........

LOL, we revolted the one time, but we don't have a great deal of experience in revolting against governance overall, it may appear slightly different from your viewpoint.

I offer my dueling pistols (one apiece, mind) to each of you in surrender.

'Never made the effort to understand what happened when in the US, so I haven't much of a viewpoint, really, but I'm reasonably sure I read something, somewhere, about protests in opposition to the invasion of Iraq in the US and, back to my original point, I have an inkling those Americans were drawn from the left. 'Probably the welfare, nanny-state people taking an enforced day off from stifling freedom and liberty.

Legal Process is totally separate from any academic discussion. I'm a BIG FAN of Law & Order, and that's why the DoJ Purges are so damaging. When Goodling went through and eliminated everyone NOT a Fundie Christian and / or Loyal Bushie ( and I'm NOT just talking about those who serve at the pleasure, I'm talking CAREER FEDERAL EMPLOYEES... ), they made a joke of the whole thing.

Of course, some say it's all a joke after the 1300 Days in Solitary...

If the established crimes of Bush need any discourse, you're in denial.
