Honestly I think that Islam is here to stay, we could destroy their holy places etc but in all seriousness its a belief system followed by far more people than those that reside in those two locations. Not saying that the loss of those two sites would not be felt by the members of the religion but... I think we are not going to stop the islamic nations with the destruction of those two locations.

I have not tried to travel abroad... including the states. and honestly if I do travel abroad it will more than likely not be the United States that I travel to. But I do know that many of the people I work with and talk to do, and according to them its a nightmare getting around now especially if your trying to travel to the states. So the open border stuff I am not too sure about, I heard some stuff the other way. I think thats the price we pay for having the freedoms that we do, both north and south of the border.

Let's see, Australian citizens in Bali, London, Spain, the U.S. of course.....if I were al qeada...........
Well, I imagine down there in those states they have people who hunt like they do up here, and I do imagine that this will be an attempted tactic if they ever figure out that they might get away with it. But I imagine also that the various police forces and people responsible directly for these issues have been briefed on the possibility of said occurence and are probably watching for that very thing to happen. If not... well I imagine all kinds of chaos will erupt.
Not to sure exactly what is being done overall, but dont be surprised that Harper up here goes with a course of action that will be both applauded and protested against. What I do know is that there is not a Canadian here that wouldnt get royally pissed at some kind of bs like that. We may not start fights... but if you check the history books... we never lost one.
