The air conditioning in my car is broken.  It will cost $500.00+ to have it repaired.  If it leaks out before the end of summer, I won't be smelling too good on the ride home from work.  (car has too many miles on it to consider that expenditure OR I need a sugar daddy)

If humans weren't meant to be eaten, why are they made of meat?

I'm with Ghita. Cannibalism would solve so many problems at once.

Just got back from the doctor, lab results day.

My diabetes numbers are friggin superb, if I do say so myself. For all intents and purposes, they are at non-diabetic levels.

Kinda hungry here, too......[:D]

Would you just stop it!? This is the first sunny day here in three weeks now - rain, rain and some more rain until today.

You picked a fine time to leave Wales my dear
The rain has been falling
Its been quite appalling, for weeks
We've been through some bad times
So please, please just dont whine
About how your new land is hot
You picked a fine time to leave Wales my dear

(with apologies to Kenny Rogers' Lucille)

Katy,
they make manuals for those things. as someone who's spent most of a day figuring out how to take a filter motor apart, most of this stuff isn't really rocket science. figure most mechanics just learned by putzing around, and if you have a manual, some tools, and a decent brain (which you have and then some), you can figure out how to do it yourself. sometimes you can even find the manual and photographs online if you do a search on bulletin boards for the car type as well. i learned my lesson with my last car, and any work done on the one i have now will be either by me or with my eyes glued to the mechanic.

SugarMyChurro -> RE: Miscellaneous (7/12/2007 4:33:45 PM)

girl4you2:

AC uses refrigerants which are probably controlled. The system may be hard to diagnose without special tools. Sure, if it's a leak maybe she can find it and switch out the line; if it's the compressor she can swap that out too - but after that she will most likely require a professional to finish the job.

As computerized components flourish and all kinds of sophisticated equipment is installed in cars - stuff like fuel "infection" and hydraulic mounts and suspension systems - the less you are able to repair the vehicles yourself because of the specialized tools required to do the work in the first place.

That said, I do admire your DIY attitude!

KatyLied:
Do you know what is wrong with it?  Is it a mechanical failure, electrical failure or a refrigerant problem?  The first two are pretty much a nuts and bolts problem the later would require a set of gauges and some refrigerant.  Baring solving the problem that way there is always 4-60.

Since you appear to be noseless...This lack of personal hygiene should go unnoticed...Now those cocker spaniel ears of yours....Never mind, you don't have eyes either.
