As if I wasn’t feeling down enough, having to put Ollie down today. From one who gets it all to well, my deepest condolences.

thanks again to all.....i am awake now because i rolled over and went to pat his head, like i always do....and he wasnt there...

That’s the hardest part, isn’t it? I’m going through that right now. I’ll walk by my bedroom and expect to see him napping on the bed. Even now as I write this I keep expecting him to jump up on the desk and start walking across the keyboard (what is it with cats and keyboards?). I think the worst (and most ironic) moment was when I came home after having him put down. Just before I opened my door I automatically assumed the "get ready to shoo the cat back inside" stance. That really hurt. I think it will be a while before I stop doing that.

i keep looking for razor to follow me.....sit and wait patiently for his lil bit of a taste of my food.....i swear i hear him walking.....the day after all this happened, my doorbell started ringing non stop-with no one at the door....i had to take it off the wall and take the batteries out to get it to hush up......

last night i decided razor wouldnt hold it against me to get another furbaby......and i wont hold it against me either.....the love does my soul good, and i can save another dog from the pound and love it unconditionally......that will be my tribute to razor......

thanks to all who shared stories with me......i thought i was done crying, but writing this has started the tears again.........i will be going to the pound this week to look for that "hey youre my momma" look in the eyes of a lost soul......and we will save each other......

I can share in your feelings of loss and sadness.....while there aren't words to take away your pain, I don't think razor would hold it against you either for getting another furbaby........he was fortunate enough to know the depth of your love for 14 years, and the fact that you have even more to give speaks volumes for you!  I too am one who believes that we will all be together again......wow!!!  talk about crowded!  But what a happy place it will be!  He'll always be smiling down upon you.....it's the memories that keep them alive in our hearts.  Cherish each and every one of them.

My thoughts are with you and your son......take care.
