Status: offline 		The abbreviation thread reminded me of a story that I somewhat outed myself but I did not want to hijack that thread

I was sitting in a restaurant eating lunch with my supervisor GM and a supervisor of my department from another office. They were discussing a transfer of a couple of guys that had been long term roomates. It was asked if they were gay, answer no, they had both had girlfriends at one time or another. I chimed in without thinking, "Well they could be poly." My supervisor looses some coke and the others look at her like she is stupid.

Have you had a similar experience? Thanks in advance for sharing and for the laughs...

Status: offline 		Poly isnt a BDSM term!!! And you knowing about it and suggesting it does not mean it is something you are into. Them suggesting they may be gay didnt mean that those suggesting it where gay themselfs.. just a thought.

Status: offline 		I went  out to dinner with my sub and a couple friend of ours. it so happened that my sub was wearing his cock ring and no underwear under his super tight levis.  we had just gotten to desert and my sub said that he couldnt fit any in. i looked at him gobsmacked and said what?!!! you are not even wearing any underwear, you should have way more room!! neeedless to say every head in the place turned in my direction.

we all had a good laugh about it as we walked out.

In all seriousness though I dont think you have to worry about anything, to me it doesn't sound stupid because poly doesn't mean that your in the scene.  There are many people out there that practice poly who are not in the scene and just because you know about it doesn't mean you practice it.  I've seen numerous "households" that make the news.....

Status: offline 		oh god I did that at a 4th party last saturday...there were guys passing out beads..well..for the things guys normally pass out beads for. Anyway.,..the strand I got..was HUGE...i dont mean the strand was long, the beads were at least 3/4" in diamater...the first thing out of my mouth was..."damn these could be used as anal beads" the whole place went quiet...(which is rather hard for a party with moster trucks and a mud pit and live music) the hubby just said Id had too much to drink and walked me away.

Status: offline 		Not really a scene "outing" or even really an "outing" at all but still funny. I was talking to my mom's friend about her 12 yr old daughter last night. She had just gotten three shots at the doctors. My moms friend was telling me how she doesn't like needles and almost crying because of them. As I get my birth control in the form of a shot and happen to get that shot in my bum, I said... "Well, I like to get poked in the bum" Not even realizing how wrong it sounded. Well needless to say I am now the girl who liked to get poked in the bum. i had to force myself to keep quiet when someone said something about Ben wa balls... then said i probably don't even know what those are... Ive had a good laugh over it.

Status: offline 		I had one of those.  I had an older, non-BDSM rather staid friend over to my house for the afternoon, and we were having coffee and doughnuts.  I held up the plate and offered him more, and he enthusiastically replied, "Yes, Ma'am!"  I immediately had a very sexual response.  (laughing)  It was pretty disorienting!  I'm sure the look on my face gave him pause, too.

Status: offline 		In a previous life I managed the Service Department for a Construction Co. I was a lucky lucky woman that got to tell 30 big burly guys what to do all day long. I was also well known for not taking any shit from said guys and having high expectations in getting the work done. For Christmas my first year they presented me with a whip mounted on a plaque dedicated to their "Favorite Slave Driver" at our Departmental holiday dinner. My date that evening (a sub) and I were giggling about it when my mike was unexpectedly turned on just in time to hear..."wait till we get home precious and I use that on your sweet little tushie."

Dead silence...except for one lone voice that said. "OMG did she just say what I think she said???"
