No class today - so just hanging around the apartment.

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (6/19/2009 8:58:37 PM)

this girl dims the lights, clears off the tables, washes the last of the dishes, sweeps and mops.

G'night everyone.

Morning.

Wind's a blowing today.  Thought you all might like to hear what it is saying...

The Wind Tells Me
I stop walking
The wind pushes against my back
Telling me to move forward

I look behind me
The wind blows in my face
Telling me not to look back

I rake some leaves into a pile
The wind scatters them
Telling me to leave them be

I blow a kiss
The wind takes it
Telling me it will reach the one I love

I cry
The wind dries my tears
Telling me it will all be ok

I whisper a secret
The wind listens
Telling me it will keep it safe

I get angry
The wind soothes me
Telling me it's not worth it

Whatever I do
The wind reacts
Telling me what I need to hear
Jocelyn Sullivan

That's nice, sunshine.

Good Morning, everybody - some Saturday flowers.  [sm=flowers.gif][sm=flowers.gif][sm=flowers.gif][sm=flowers.gif][sm=flowers.gif][sm=flowers.gif]

This is a reminder -
to everybody who has not shopped or written the email to your father.  JUST DO IT.

sunshinemiss -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (6/20/2009 6:54:28 AM)

Fluffy,
I don't mean any disrespect, but here's a little different point of view:

There are evil people in the world.  Sometimes they become parents.

That said, I did send a "You are like a father to me" card to a wonderful man who is, in fact, like a father to me.

well wishes,
sunny

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (6/20/2009 7:11:35 AM)

i'm aware of that, but it is too much to put all the qualifiers on it.  And, besides, you wouldn't have posted if i had.  i know people who send Father's Day wishes to their mothers, grandfathers, uncles, fathers-in-law, etc.

So, let me try it this way - to everybody who plans to commemorate Father's Day in some way but hasn't done so, JUST DO IT.

Is that better?

Sometimes i miss Oklahoma and Texas...i want to dance and listen to music like this.

Dance 1  Dance 2  Dance 3

And here's one for Sunshine - Sunshine Waltz

G'night, Boss.  i'll dim the lights, you don't need to get up.

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (6/21/2009 7:51:45 AM)

Good Morning!

Today it is going to be....SUNNY...no rain in the forecast for several days.

i have been thinking and reading the boards about Father's Day.  It is sad that so many posters here have not had a good father experience.  i'm sorry that each of you had to suffer at the hand of a father or no father at all.  Some posters seem angry and resentful that there would even be a Father's Day. i get the feeling that some who post are trying to make me feel guilty for having a father who was loving and kind.  To this day i admire him and even now see him as a role model of aging gracefully.  Maybe, just maybe, having a Father's Day will help our young men grow up knowing what a good father can be.

Please have a good day.
