If you are looking for friends to bounce ideas off of, then make them. Read the boards and write to people who say things that interest you, people who see things from the same perspective you do. Ask them one or two short questions, express appreciation for them taking time to talk to you. Sometimes these types of conversations will continue into friendship, other times the other people may not be available. Just like in real life.
