ORIGINAL: daniL Pictures aren't necessarily proof of seriousness in regards to bdsm, though. Sometimes someone is still a little sh*t even if they have a picture up [some people post pictures because then they know people think that their profile is 'realer' than non-photo profiles]. For me, since I'm not interested in dating anyone but my girl, I don't have a picture on my profile. Sometimes, this means when I message someone to just say 'oh, hey, your profile looked cool, not interested in dating, just wanted to say so', they don't necessarily believe I'm not a pervy male masquerading as a young woman, but you know what? If I had a picture, people would be messaging me because they saw the picture [not that I'm that hot, but having a picture increases the number of messages you would get because then people can choose whether or not they find you physically attractive]. And employers do google searches and other things now a days-- you can hire people to do that sort of search. For some people, they have no problem having a picture up, but for others the risk [and sometimes annoyance :) ] is too great to bother with a picture. Thank you, in my last job it wasn't that big of a deal because I worked at a company that had a lot of BDSM Lifestylers or just practicer's working there with me. I had a pic up then but when I left that job and started searching the pic immediately came down. It's not that I'm embarressed of my lifestyle it's more like the fact of the matter is that I'm an exec. a woman as well and I dont need the sexual harrassment, that sometimes comes with being a part of this lifestyle, I also dont need to get turned down for a position at the executive level because the employer that is considering me found my collarme, bondage, or alt profile. That's not fair but it's just the facts.
