ORIGINAL: tenderfootmaster If you really want to know about somebody, look at their profile. Even if they are fake, their profile will reek of it. I just don’t get why some people will not put pictures on there profile! First, I thought frazzle's post was hilarious. It made a point and did so in a humorous way. And then I had to laugh at everyone taking what was said so seriously. I mean honestly! How could one NOT see the humor in what was written? And THEN I came to this post and it beat all!! So, you can really know someone by their profile? I wonder what you'd think of mine. Am I fake? Am I "not real?" This is simply hilarious. On another site, the first line of my profile is "How do you reduce a person to a few simple lines?" and frankly, I really don't see how that's possible. Yes, some people's posts do reek of them not knowing what they're talking about. However, many others don't, but that's no indication really that they do or don't know what they're talking about. Hell, my Master's profile on here says absolutely nothing - and he's been doing this for about 30 years or so. As far as why some people don't put pictures on their profiles, I'll give you a little clue. It's because they don't want to. There are lots of reasons for this, but ultimately, they simply don't want to. How hard is that to figure out? It might be helpful to remember that a profile is written and set up to express what the person writing it wanted to express - not what the reader wants to see, and because of that real people may look like fakers, fakers may look like real people and both may or may not have pictures on their profiles. By the way, a faker to you might just be real to another person - even if you don't get it. juliet
