I have seen neocon wet dream maps of a "greater kurdistan" showing the kurds with the coastal oil producing regions of Iran.

Kurds better remember how often the Bushies have betrayed their allies and how often Turkey has gone to war.

This is a very interesting scenario, Lady E. Why does the UK
favor having the them in the EU? Their natural resources?

Politics. Britain is against the real political union in the EU and it believes that with Turkey as a member countries like Germany and France will shy away from a deeper union and will settle for the EU being merely a glorified economic free trade zone.

Also by supporting Turkish entry B ritain can appeart to be very even handed and not anti muslim, whilst at the same time secure in the knowledge that i9t will not happen because Germany and France fear such a situation and will block it.
