I alternately laughed during the posturing about Reagan's birthday, looking at the hair of some of these goons, and hearing them tell blatant lies, and feeling like I might have to barf up dinner. Thankfully my constitution is strong enough to handle their revolting bullshit.

Status: offline 		Haha!  Jon Stewart did a fantastic bit on the Republicans basically doing a circle-jerk around Reagan's corpse.  He showed the numerous clips where they said "Reagan this" or "Reagan that," and then he showed a clip of one of them not prefacing his statement with "Reagan..."  "Ah-ah-ah!  You didn't say Reagan-says!"

Status: offline 		After watching the Democrats and then the Republicans debate....I have to say that as of right now....i dont like any of these people. None of them seems to be presidential material in my honest opinion. I cant see myself voting for any of them. Both fields of very weak...

Personally I think the winners in all this is Al Gore, Fred Thompson, and Newt Gingrich for not being there. I surely hope they jump in by the fall.

I wonder if he even realizes that he's doing it?
He says; "We need to get control of that border!"
Fifteen minutes later he says; "We can't have fences and walls on that border!"  Oh?
Tell me he isn't taking money from big corporations that want cheap, illegal labor.
Him and Bush have had 6 1/2 years to control that border and now, all of a sudden it's  "urgent?"
He's talking out of both sides of his mouth.
We'd be in Iraq for another 10 years if it were up to McCain.
He's way to militaristic!
McCain reminds me of the guest who doesn't want to leave.

I thought Romney did pretty well, Tancredo did very well as did Ron Paul.
Ron Paul makes a lot of sense and parts ways with "Mainstream" Republicans as does Tancredo which is a good thing! I don't want to hear "The Party Line."
I still say Guiliani should be running as a Democrat.
He is right about Bush's amnesty bill though; "It's a mess!"
Thompson did better than before which isn't saying much.
He reminds me of someone's big uncle who'd go out into the backyard and toss you the football for a while then go into the house and polish off a 12 pack of beer.
The Governor/Preacher was too preachy! Huckabee?
And Duncan Hunter can always hold his own it seems.
He seems like a very good speaker.

Douglas Adams makes the point in one of the Hitchhikers Guide books that anybody who would want to be president of the galaxy should never be allowed the job, and ideally the actual president should not even know he is the president.

My first response would be "none of the above" or I might go with one of the other 22,000+ American people who write in Mickey Mouse every election.

I will vote for Gore if he runs.

I will probably vote Green if he doesnt.

Status: offline 		Putting my personal views aside, and focusing on who won this Republican Primary debate, in New Hampshire ... I would say that John McCain did very well.
 
He was consistantly attacked on immigration, but clearly understood that Republicans in New Hampshire agree with him on this issue. He was wise to avoid being drawn into the fray.
 
He, like all the candidates other than Ron Paul, was clearly on shakey ground on the question of Iraq, in a state like New Hampshire ... so McCain instead used his time to find familier with specific points that would support his view ... connecting with a returned service man, and the sister of a man that lost his life. He almost looked like a guy that hated war ... all the while making a case for war. I don't agree with him, but admire the skillful dodge.
 
Mitt Romney was the clear loser, in my view. He will win the WTF vote, for some of the things he said.
 
I want Mike Huckabee to preach at my church this Sunday.
 
Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo ... are these guys running to take over for Saddam?

Ron Paul is not beng given a chance. He seems to only be allowed to weigh in on issues where they know he will differ greatly from the other candidates, and is passed over on anything that makes him look like a unifier.

I understand that Fred Thompson was on with Sean Hannity tonight. I plan to stay up and watch that. Maybe the guy that won, was the guy that wasn't there.

Status: offline 		I have watched all the debates thus far, and it makes me sick. They only give real time to the chosen ones. You know Hillary, Obama, Rudy, McCain. The ones I will write in a vote for my left nut before I'd vote for, even more so after they put their litttle puppet asses out there in the lime light and go to them constantly for rebuttals and let them blabber on forever while restraining the "lesser" candidates..

I'm still voting ron paul, my friend is printing up signs, bumper stickers, etc... And since I sell stuff online and we're getting a way bigger warehouse beginning of July(already signed the paperwork) I can store and distribute it, all my customers  will all be getting a complimentary ron paul pack, with a dvd. I don't care if they want it. LOL.  I'm thinking of making a webform they can fill out to get 10% off their next purchase if they answer right, after watching the DVD. I'm also going to sell Ron Paul stuff, and plaster signs every fucking place I can as soon as I get my hands on them.

If anything these debates really didn't show me anything new about the candidates, it did reconfirm the huge disproportional time they give to their selected candidates, which just happen to be the worst ones of the lot, on both the republican and democratic side.

That's what I got out of it, I will continue watching the debates, if not only for the motivation to shove a big stick up CNN, MSNBC, and Fox's self-righteous asses.

I officially hate mainstream media. Well, I have for a long time, but I hate them to the second power now, if that's possible.

Man-o-man how I wish all people watching could see and understand this ploy. The problem is....for every guy like you, fifteen other dudes have been '' Hanitized '' or they're ''Mega Ditto Dorks'' flappn’ in the wind -- It makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about those people.



Oh well.....at least we've made some progress.

You could imagine that the garden variety NeoCon would rather see Ted Kennedy in the White House.

Caitlyn, I'm going to vote for Ron Paul too. I really don't care what the Neo Cons think. I don't want 4 more years of Bush which is exactly what we'll get if McCain gets in.
In the 2004 election I voted for the Constitution Party Candidate.
Oh, and I have a Ron Paul sticker on my car too. I sent away for it.
Among the things I like about Ron Paul is that he is a non-interventionist, he won't be "sending Air Craft Carriers" around the world everytime some tin pot dictator makes a speech criticising the U.S. And he's right when he says that foreign countries need to solve their own problems!
