Might I suggest a heat gun, I do not mean a hair dryer, and the hose of a running shop vac. Do it a little section at a time, heat it up, and watch it carefully and you'll see the wax flow, then you throw down with the vacuum. This would take some time, just how big an area we talking here ? And what kind of carpet ? If it is a synthetic nap, the wax should not soak in, if it's wool or something natural, you are probably in deep shit. You might do as another poster suggested with the iron, but I would do that, and heat it alot and attempt to get it warm, as well as the floor, and then immediately go to the heat gun and shop vac. Actually you may never restore that spot completely, there are many factors. It depends on the kind of carpet. T
