Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!......I come from a long line of A-holes.....We pride ourselves in the way we end relationships.......We don't....We simply stop communicating....No reasons....No justifications.....You must simply act like she is dead and if the phone rings and you see that it is her number you never pick up! Who has the time to be receiving those annoying calls from the spirit world?  She will get the hint in time and find someone else to bother.

FR.   Geee....Oedipus posts a legitimate inquiry, and the loudest (if not the most intelligent) reply that comes back is all about how he's not man enough to "do the right thing" -- i.e. be a jerk.  He lacks "stones", he's a pussy...because he doesn't kick a poor dog when she's down?  Nice to see that world view echoed as the "manly, Dominant" point of view.

Hey.  A little secret for those of you on that side of the fence (whispers)  "It isn't always about YOU.  Yes.  That's right.  You might get outside of your hidebound, stultified pseudo-Alpha "dominant" self and realize that sometimes, it isn't all about YOU."

But I suspect I'm spilling good seed on spoiled eggs.  Breeding will out, and jerkwads breed like rabbits.

Sinergy is right, by the way, any further contact -- even negative contact -- is probably reinforcing.

E.

"It's the same thing," he said.

I'm standing by it, Emperor.  Have a read of the OP's profile.  I find a suggestion she is talking about moving to him (and everything will work out).  Doing it gently, without hard feelings didn't work.  Rather than catching the "No" behind the kind lies it is so easy to tell, this one is determined.  BTDT.

Have a few cold bottles loosened my impatience with foolishness?  Perhaps.  Have I ever laid awake and felt guilt over how that last conversation went?  Have I tried the gentle lies?  Yes to both.  And I accept the responsibility, rather than trying to pass it off to a bunch of strangers.

In the strange coincidences department, I just reread Hamlet, and I'm pretty sure you don't want the dour Dane as your role model. You could always try telling your lady to get herself to a nunnery, but don't say you weren't warned if her brother comes after you with a poisoned sword.

I have to say, I enjoyed the erudite nature of this response quite a bit, especially as it stands in stunning contrast to the cretiinous comments of the post it follows.

Oh... and I should add...I am curious about peoples' responses to the question posed, but entirely capable of following my own inner voice.

Still, some voices add a nice harmony.  I suggest you remove the "novice" from your name.

Block her, if she calls from another number tell her if she continues

to call and harass you, you will report her to the police.
People usually stop at that point.

Try the threat route- I sincerly hope it works
but keep in mind
some people don't stop -this chick hasn't grasped yet it is over and proving she  is not going away easy it's been 2 months.  I doubt threats would concern her because she is nutty already.  Why have to continue  like this, blocking, deleteing, scanning calls, being harassed, getting angry and then dreading the sound of your phone ringing..Why ? to be stubborn- prove a point who cares. With in a few minutes and the change of a few numbers it is over and done with.
I hope she doesnt post your number publitcy offering free sex- let me tell you that just isn't fun (btw it was a F who did this to me and I had never even met her)

You know it is very peaceful here once again

<fast reply>

...what would Hamlet do? Set in action a chain of events that ends with everyone dead.......perhaps Shakespearen revenge tragedy would be a bad role model..........
