Doubtless this has been posted before but all good advise is welcome. I haven't had cause to give an injection for a very long time and that was under duress. I have since had cause to formalise some quals and moonlight as as a sports paramedic. I'm not particularly into needle play but I have been approached (by a sub who is a dear friend but we don't play-watch sometimes) regarding saline injections-no prizes for guessing where. I suppose this explains the questions I got about needle play I copped at parties .Apart from common law there is no stricture about me doing them but I don't wan't to seem like a specialist Dr.Strangelove with a needle. Not to forget that my wrist has been shattered and rebuilt and I would have to practice on a shitload of oranges before I jabbed anyone again. Advice pleas - r

Hrm... I do not know why you are getting all pissy at earthycouple, et al. You were given good advice; the best advice given the parameters you posted. Perhaps you are getting snarky because you didn't actually want advice so much as a bunch of people giving you a rationalization to do something you probably shouldn't (and perhaps even know you shouldn't) do.

Okay, so you don't want to do it, from your other post you don't know exactly how to do it, and you don't want people to tell you not to do it if you don't want to... what's the point here? Somebody just tell me where the hell i can buy IV saline so that i can do it. [:@]

Doesn't the local pharmacy have it? I believe enema kits come with it. But I maybe wrong there or that fluid may not be for intravenous use.

Ah, in my part of the US, enema kits do not come with saline injection/IV bags- there is no reason for them to be included. To do a saline infusion for the scrotum, it is easy enough- just find a portion ofthe sac that is all skin, wipe with alcohol and then insert needle into the skin. Start the infusion slowly to make sure that you are indeed int he scrotum, not still in skin and once in, infuse about 500 ml slowly. If not in the sac, then I imagine you'll have a puddle on your feet. Make absolutely sure that you are not injecting onto the testicle or you are gonna make a swift trip to the hospital.

Oh no, I didn't mean that the IV is in the kit, just the saline. But thanks for the clarifcation.

If you are stupid enough to limit your studies of scrotal infusion to simple basic text here, you are to stupid to do any needle play at all. Never mind the scrotal infusion. Also if we want to limit our writings so that no one can misunderstand them and hurt them selves... then what's the point of having forums? I take full responsibility of my life and I expect other adults to do the same. I'm not going to babysit...

Is it just me that's noticed this trend on the message boards lately? There have been a number of threads started by people with a new accounts, that have literally no/little history of posts to the boards. Where the OP is not very clear in regards to the advice, input or opinions they are looking for from other members. Where the post is also rather aburb, off the wall, off the beaten path or otherwise odd in nature. I'm actually suprised somebody has not started a thread asking "How do I change my adult babies Diaper" yet. Also, these OPs tend to simply vanish without making additional posts to the message board.

Accidentally hurting yourself from lack of knowledge is one thing. Accidentally hurting someone else from lack of knowledge is prosecutable. If you can not understand why giving out information about invasive procedures on a chat forum (with no verifiable documented standards of procedure, let alone clinical experience) is unwise.... then I guess you can just disregard my post .[;)]

I suggest you practice any type of needle play on a tomato rather than an orange as it is more like human skin than an orange and you can actually practice first, second and third layer punctures.

I have never done this, and have no desire to do it, but just out of interest... What happens to the infusion? Is it absorbed, or does it have to be drained again?

I totally agree with you about the responsibility when hurting someone. But I totally disagree with you on the other part. It's always the readers responsibility to assess the quality of the material he is reading if he wants to act upon it.

FR, with a couple of things: All this talk about giving the injection is misplaced: The placement of the catheter for saline infusion is critical. Managing the infusion is critical. How you give the little needle jab -- not so critical. May I suggest if you are nervous about your "shot giving technique" you (1) have no clue what is involved, as saline inflation is infusion not injection and (2) you (and your intended victim) have bigger worries. That said, Tigress is right, a tomato is a lot closer to human skin than an orange and therefore better to practice on. For that matter, a defuzzed peach is perfect. Puella, you raise a very valid question about how much information should one give out on an anonymous website/listserve and you hint at the moral culpability of a person who gives the info, and then some reader (i.e. moron) uses the info to hurt someone. Might I suggest that generalized information is not harmful, and might even help? Further, I think there is NO moral culpability if one posts information, with appropriate disclaimers, and then some third party (read: moron) abuses another. Google "Scrotal infusion". Tell me if a bit of CM advice really matters? For god's sake, don't use "enema solution" or ANYTHING that isn't labelled 0.9% Sterile Saline solution. GOT THAT? 0.9% Sterile Saline. Sheeeeesh. How hard can that be? There are probably 4000 suppliers on the Web, and unless you live in bumfuckville, 40 within a short drive of you. If you pay more than $3.00/500 ml you are getting ripped. E
