I am all for giving advice but I am equally for personal responsibility and common sense.  Obviously some of the information you posted, OP, was flat out incorrect.  I got to your beeswax statement and stopped reading.  Incorrect as others have also pointed out.

A new person should ask for opinions, get varied opinions, do independent reading and research and attain practical knowledge by experiences, classes, etc.

If this thread was meant to be Cliff's Notes Guide to BDSM 101 or You Can Be a Dom in 5 Easy Steps, then I can't think of much that could be more dangerous.

WTF.. this is why there have been threads on the message board regarding specific types of activities and playing safe.

I started doing Wax play when I was 13 years old, did not have any books or anybody to show me the correct or wrong way.  But you'd be amazed at what a little common sense and experimentation does.  Even more so when you actually try the shit out on yourself first before doing it to another human being.

There are things you simply start out lightly with, experiment and gague things as you go.  I totally agree with MadRabbit you'd have to be jackass to cause any real kind injury with wax play.

I would avise any new people to do some research and ask questions about any questionable forms of play.

Something I did not see you even mention anything about rope bondage saftey, this can be at activitiy where safty can be overlooked.  However any newbie should be having many seconds thoughts regarding how safe electrical play is.

I still remember the day, I got involved with breath play.  That was a very intense day and we took things slowly, experimented and communicated a lot about WTF was going on.   This is an activity I still hold a great reverence for safety to this day.. Generally people get seriously fucked up when people become so overconfident they are not thinking about safety when they should be.   Again most of this is common sense.

Also if you want to post advice to newbies about safety why not address activities such as Flogging!  How many newbies are aware of the dangers in involved in blows to the Kidneys, Neck, or even the sciatic nerve.  Anybody who has taken Martial Classes is aware of where to hit or not hit people period.  Mind you, if you want strike the kidney area you'd better make damn sure they are light strikes.   If you don't know what you are doing, you can send somebody to the hospital using your flogger.  A heavey flogger, with heavy blows to certain areas of the body and yikes.   If anything it's information like this that might be of more value to Newbies.   There are activities that many newbies will under estimate the need for safety for.

Actually when you really think about it flogging is more dangerous compared to Wax Play, I am always amuzed by the misconception that wax play is an extremely dangerous and painful actitivity.

I'm not one to go off on safety tip rants because the information is already available all over the internet and in countless threads on this message board.

Another activitity is face slapping and being able to do without causing great harm.  Again another activitity that should involve common sense, however safety issues get overlooked by newbies or novices at times.

I felt the OP overlooked stressing safety for other activities where it's common for safety to get blindly overlooked.  Hell, you'd have to be a fucking idiot to not realize things like Electrical Play, Breath Play and Needle play require a high degrees of safety awareness..

God, why am I even posting on this thread... some of the information the OP presented is not correct. The OP really did not ask any questions or request any specific kinds of input from people when starting this thread.  Trolling, Trolling, Trolling...

This thread is ridiculous.

The scary part is that someone may actually read the OP and not make it through this thread far enough to realize that the advice he is giving is ill informed at best, even dangerous.

I mean come on...combining water with electricity could be a good thing?????

Wow...awesome....seriously....I don't think I have ever seen anyone do that on here before. There is never shame in not knowing something, but there is danger in presenting yourself as an authority on things that you do not fully understand or have experience in. I guess though that your OP could serve as another example of a lesson to those who are newer. Never overstate your knowledge or experience. There may be someone who is relying on the accuracy of your words.

Skin will develop burns at 140F, bee's wax burns hotter than that.

Never suspend anyone by depending on a needle pushed through a muscle.

Neither needle play nor suspension are starter activities. Neither are cutting or electrical play meant for someone with zero experience.

Shaking head over misinformation in the op.
