I would donate my body for such purposes. This is quite a noble thing to do in my mind. Did you realize that because people have made such use of themselves post mortem that forensic experts have solved crimes, developed theories on how and when someone succumbed to their fate. I know it is gruesome, but because researchers do such work, many crimes will be solved in the future, putting victim's families at ease.

Yes, I realise that, julia... I didn't mean to condemn the practice at all. It was the concept of a body farm that got me intrigued...

Umm necrophilia means sex with dead humans, well traditionally it does.

I have a donor sticker on my drivers license.

I figure if I am not using it any more, I can only hope somebody gets some use out of it.

Dunno about all States but in Michigan, there is a option for your donations. I'm remembering back awhile now... I think it goes something like; whole body, eyes, skin, organs, ... I think that may be it.

If you choose 'Whole body', your body can be used by med students to practice their anatomy on. NOT a bad thing. They gotta learn from someone.

If you don't choose 'whole body' and check off the other options, your organs/tissue/etc goes to the donor banks.

My nurse sis told me that one. I assume it's true.
